"... And we'll be friends forever, won't we?"
"Yeah, forever."
So, I know there are some people who don't really like partner comps, but i feel there are a lot who do and honestly we really couldn't pass up this opportunity. So I apologise beforehand for anyone we upset, but you can't please everyone!
As you can probably tell, these little guys are based off of Tod and Copper from 'The Fox and the Hound.' I'll have you know the waterworks started when I saw a picture of the old lady dropping Tod off in the forest while looking for colour references. I forgot that part — honestly I must have erased it from my memory because A G O N Y. Anyway, as I said, this will be a partner comp with a required prompt. We'll be giving you two to choose from, and the rest is up to you. You can both do the same prompt or one of you can do one prompt and the other person can do the second prompt. We'd like to leave that choice up to you, but I'll be honest and say I'd rather see a little more development between the two with two separate prompts. But ultimately, the decision is up to you guys!
prompt #1 wrote:Tell a happy story revolving around their friendship. This can be anything, really. You can tell me how it started, their favourite memory together, something they enjoy doing together... Tell me whatever you'd like as long as it's positive. You have an unlimited amount of words to do so.
prompt #2 wrote:Tell me about a rough patch the two have had in their friendship. How did they resolve it? Did it make them stronger or is there a seed of doubt planted after the incident? Tell me whatever you'd like, as long as it has to do with a bump in their friendship. You have an unlimited amount of words to do so.
Each person can only choose one prompt, but like I said, if you'd like to, the both of you can do the same prompt. They do have to be different stories though, if you plan to take that route. As for the rest of the contest, there are two extras. These can either be writing, art, or both. There's no word limit.
rules wrote:— please don't be rude. always be cool. there's no need for negativity.
— only choose one prompt. you can both do the same prompt, but make them different stories.
— stick to the threads given, please! marking and all the good stuff is fine, but the finished forms need to be on their respective threads to make things less confusing.
— two extras; no word limit but remember: quality < quantity.
— have fun! If there's need for a partner-finding thread, let us know!
— this will end on May 31st. If an extension is needed, let us know!
