My JournalDay 1Today was possibly the greatest day of my life. Two days ago, I arrived at my uncle's ranch, to stay for two monthes, as both of my parents snatched a business cruise for that long span of time; WITHOUT ME. To say the least, I was infuriated. I was annoyed that I would have to stay at this shabby; old place. That all changed this morning when I heard a gigantic trailer pull in. I expected more clients coming to ask for my uncle's help training their unruly tezaries; groaned and rolled over, held captive by my warm blanket.
"Judie! Come down right now, I have a surprise for you!" My uncle yelled in his hoarse voice.
Groaning, I got out of bed, or rather, flopped out in a quite undignified way. Mumbling to myself, I managed to brush my hair into a somewhat neat bun, and placed in my contacts. I thudded down the stairs to see my uncle talking to some burly looking men.
"Um, I'm here." I stated awkwardly. I mean, I was wearing my Disney princess nightgown that was two sizes small. My uncle could have said we had company. Rolling my eyes at their deep laughs, I managed my way to the kitchen table, as plopped my head into the crevice of my elbow.
Whatever the surprise was, it could wait."Ju-u-u-die, get yourself back in here."Or maybe, it couldn't."Yes?""These men have gathered up some purebred tezari, runnin' wild in the plains south from here. They're giving us 3 for free, and I figured, well, maybe you could choose one, tame it maybe? I mean it would pass time, since you're clearly not having that much fun here."I stared, in shock. Tezari, the word resonated through my head.. A tezari, for me? Even my dad, a well renowned business man said they were too expensive. I nodded eagerly, and my uncle led me to the trailer. I peered through the windows, like a child at a candy shop. I saw my uncle had already pulled his two horses, dun mares. I came to a grey dappled horse. He was incredibly handsome, and I pointed happily.
"You sure ya want that one kid?" The two men asked. I nodded and quivered as they unloaded him. His muscles rippled in the sunlight, and I took an astonished gasp. He was so incredible. I saw the two men struggling. He reared at pawed at the ground. My uncle hurried to help him, leading the stallion into a stable. I stayed for the rest of the day at his stall, studying him. It took awhile for him to calm down, and occasionally my uncle would come to check on me, educating how to be safe near stallions. I nodded, pretending I was listening, but truly, I was entranced my horse; his perfection. I took out my sketch pad, and my uncle, seeing my ignorance sighed and walked away. Until now, I was with my horse, drawing. Here's my picture:
