Dalitso understands clearly everything she does and why she does it. There is always a method to her madness. Although, it often ends up with her receiving an earful from some other lion who thinks they know better than her.

Dalitso is very capable to taking care of herself and is always willing to prove it to anyone who seeks to doubt her. She refuses to be dependent on anyone, and is reluctant to accept help. However, she is willing to help others - but that quickly becomes her doing all the work.
