Forest Antlered Equids V.2

Postby Aspyn » Thu Feb 19, 2015 4:20 pm

*~Welcome to the Forest~*

*~History~*
In recent history, the people called the Fae have disappeared. Though they left one important thing, their mounts. These mounts have been classified as Equines Antleeris, commonly called Forest Antlered Equines (FAE).

*~Information~*
The Fae were tall magical beings that lived secretly among humans. But, due to their discovery, the Fae had to go into hiding. Their tall, graceful mounts were left in the open. The Fae People could not take their glorious mounts for fear of being noticed once again.

FAE Characteristics

Postby Aspyn » Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:08 am

*~Characteristics~*
Both male and female have antlers on their heads, which is uncommon among non-magical creatures. Most Forest Antlered Equines (FAE) are short-tailed. However, long-tailed FAEs are seen and, rarely, captured. FAEs give live birth to one foal, though twins have been reported. They have cloven hooves like deer, but are horse-like in almost every other feature. On average, FAE can be anywhere from 14 hands high to 19 hands as they had to carry their tall masters. This is not gender specific.

*~Rules~*

1. Be kind & understanding.
2. Customs and Breedings are available only when they are opened by each specific artist.
3. No limit on how many FAEs you can own.
4. Natural colors only.
5. Do not take them off chicken smoothie.
6. I have the right to change any rules.
7. No stealing, I paid for them.
8. Rudeness is not tolerated.
9. You will be allowed to skill only 5 of the Original FAEs. Choose wisely. You will get grandfathered in and not need tack to compete either.

FAE Competitions and Skills

Postby Aspyn » Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:08 am

*~Competition~*
To compete, your FAE must first have tack. Tack costs 1 uncommon wishlist pet for uncustomised tack. Any artist can add tack to the V.2 FAEs, just pm the original artist so they can add your chosen artist to the list for color-ins to add the tack. You may not add tack youself.
Each FAE can gain skills in 5 areas: Strength, Stamina, Intelligence, Speed, Personality. Skill points can be gained by entering competitions, and winning. If you win you will be given 5 skill points (maximum gain.) The person running the competition (one of my artists) will decide after that. So each comp is different. Some may give out (4, 3, or 2) points for runner up, or give everyone who tried a skill point. (Maximum hand out for entering is 1.)

*~Skills~*
FAE can level up in six skills to a total of 15 skill points per skill.
They are:
Strength
Stamina
Speed
Intelligence
Personality
You win skill points by competing in competitions.
While the artist is SUPPOSED TO keep up with your skill levels and edit the first post for you, they may leave or be really busy. I would suggest making a post on your FAEs page and editing it yourself. If you add points when you have not won them, you WILL BE BANNED.

FAE Breedings & Customs

Postby Aspyn » Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:09 am

*~Breedings & Customs~*

To have a breeding you must catch an artist when their slots are open and fill out the form correctly & post it before the spots fill. "Reserves" will not be counted.

Also note, there are three types of breeding.
1. Natural: male & female. the cost is 2 uncommon wishlist pets. The gender is random. The coat is an appropriate mix of both parents.
2. Stem Cell: male & male, or female & female. The cost is 3 uncommon wishlist pets. The gender is random. The coat is an appropriate mix of both parents.
3. Cloning: one parent. The cost is 4 uncommon wishlist pets or 1 rare pet (not wishlist). The gender is that of the parent. The coat is of the same base color (due to genes), but patterning will change.

FAE Artist Rules

Postby Aspyn » Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:09 am

*~Artist Rules~*

1. Only natural colors.
Meaning if you can not find a reference picture of a real horse to match it, it shouldn't be a FAE.
2. In breeding, ALWAYS use the genetic coding from both parents and make the baby according to the genetic code.
The code maker can be found in Links.
3. In breeding, the genetic coat calculator will give you x amount of coloration options, say 5. Go to the number randomizer and select 1-5. If the number given is three, you must do the third coat pattern listed. This will keep us from over doing one color and teach us to branch out.
4. Twins are rare!
To keep them rare, we will use a random number generator. The generator will be set from 1-100.
~If the number is between 1 and 15 you must make twins. Obviously you won't get these numbers overtime, so don't over create them because you feel like it.
~If the number is between 16 and 20, you get a mutation. (Bird catcher, brindle, lacing)
~If the number is 25, you get 1 chimeric foal.
~If the number fits no category above, you get one foal.
5. You may not "auction" FAEs or take payment for FAEs unless they are from breedings. Then you may only take the amount specified.
6. All FAE adoption topics should be named "FAE - (color from the genetic coat calculator)" so that way breedings are easy. If you are unsure, see any of mine.
7. After a FAE is won, the most important info in the first post should be username, name, gender, and genetic coding to make it easy on everyone those specifics must be stated.
8. You will be in charge of your own customs and breedings.
9. Genetic skill points...
~10 points per FAE created as an adult, randomize it how you like.
~It is up to the owner to pm you when they receive skill points with documentation (ie. a link) But its up to YOU to change that info on the first page.
~FAE Foals born receive 1/2 of the parents added sum of skill points or a minimum of 10 points with a maximum of 30 points. So parent #1 has 30 points and parent #2 has 10 points, the foal(s) will be gifted 20 skill points. But if both parents have 35 skill points, the foal will only receive 30.
10. You must use this breeding form as the bare bones of an adoption form.

Aspyn wrote:How To Save The Foal Line Art From A Breeding:
Yes, first post the foal.
It can hang out for a few days!
Then to save it....
-click "color me in"
-save it.
-go to the first foal
-remove the foal lines
-create the adult lines

Any rule breaking and you will be removed as an artist. I realize this sounds harsh, but I would love for this species to prosper and this is the only way they will.[/center]

FAE Questions & Answers

Postby Aspyn » Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:09 am

*~Your Questions & My Answers~*

Are there customs?
Yes, opened randomly by each artist. They will post when they are ready.

How many breedings does each FAE have?
Males have seven. Females have five.

Are there ever twins?
Yes, it is rare however. It is also not calculated by us, but a random number generator. Check artist rule 9 for more info.

Can we make our mares have twins?
As of now, no. It is by luck.

How many FAEs can we own?
There is no limit.

How do we skill our FAEs?
You skill them by entering competitions. Some give skill points for simply participating!

Others? Please post and I will address them. :)

March Equine of the Month

Information About FAE: Maya is my first custom, my first female, my first mated and my first FAE overall. She was made by Kiwilady
Other: Maya looked around at her small herd. There was her mate, Raui, and the only other female, Aurora. And there, in the distance, so small she could hardly see him, was her own son, Emerson. He had been chased out of the herd, though the herd and the loner were friendly enough when they met. Maya turned her head back to the grass, and nibbled on some, twitching her ears to make sure that there were no unpleasant surprises. Raui looked up from the grass, trotting over to his mate. Is everything good? he asked, flicking his tail. Raui tossed his head in Aurora's direction. She likes our son, Emerson. I believe she is thinking of taking him as a mate. Maya looked up, wondering what her mate's problem was. Emerson was of a good stock, handsome, strong, and clever. She approved Aurora taking him on as a mate...or at least having a foal with him. I don't see your problem, said Maya. I approve, why shouldn't you? Raui turned his back on his mate and trotted off. Maya flicked her tail in amusement.
