︴It's honestly no secret that masks are
︴something I hold dear. No-Face (from
︴Spirited Away) is practically my patron,
︴my ponysona and fursona both sport
︴masks, and I have a nice collection
︴offline thanks to my grandmother. They
︴can convey and conceal emotion at the
︴same time, they're my favorite wearable
︴pieces of art.

︴White is a very interesting color. In light,
︴white is every color, while in paint, it is
︴the absence of color. I know I'm not alone
︴in saying that such contradictions intrigue
︴me. It's also interesting that those blessed
︴with such a color must suffer a great risk
︴for disease and eyesight loss, as if it were
︴some kind of twisted trade-off.

︴Here's the real clincher, as far as I'm
︴concerned. I've attempted and failed to
︴explain the enormity of my love for space

❥Your Name Speaks All
The Masked Dog you see before you shall be named Creux, the French word meaning 'hollow' in honor of the love he left behind, many years ago. Hollow is that one place in his heart that will remain empty forever as he watches over the Earth.

❥Gender Fender
Creux is male, despite the feminine colors he portrays on his star shining pelt. What gives away his gender is his strength and his deep enchanting voice. If no one knew him personally, they would never know what gender he was due to his love of the earth and the protectiveness he serves for it, along with the beings it holds.

❥Reasoning With "The Man"
Why do I want this handsome Masked Dog? Well, who wouldn't? He is absolutely beautiful in every way... but I do suppose that's not the only reason behind it. I do have another motive, and I assure you greatly that it is worthy.
One of the biggest reasons why I want this lovely creature is because I want to create a story based around him. I fell in love with him the moment I laid eyes on him, and I am in love with galaxy designs. At first I really had no intention of a story, but the more I started working on his portrait and brain storming his back story, the more I fell in love and the more inspiration came to mind.
I want to do so much more with him, but this is my main reason I do suppose.

❥The Story On Page One
Creux was once your normal everyday mortal going about his daily life with a skip in his step and a smile on his face. That all changed when he met the love of his life; Crystal. She was beautiful and brought sunlight into his dull life, making him the happiest soul in the universe. Nothing but death could ever tear them apart, but soon death had made it's way into the lovely couples hearts and broke the fabric of being that bonded them together.
Crystal was in labor, ready to give life to her and Creux's unborn daughter which they planned to have named Nova. Birth complications followed soon, and Crystal was losing her life quickly, as well as there daughter who had yet to arrive. Hours passed, and Creux grew restless with every horrific second that seemed to stretch forever. Finally the doctor stepped over to the male, and as he grew excited, it faded when he saw the look in the doctor's eyes. "I'm sorry." Those words echoed painfully in Creux's head and his heart plummeted into the abyss known as sadness.
Both Crystal and Nova's lives were lost. Outraged by this, Creux cried out to the universe, "give them back! They were never yours to take! I'll do anything!" Tears streaming down his radiant pelt, a star shone in the distance. Creux was enveloped in a bright white light and grew weary and unconscious.
"We heard your plea, and we have struck a deal. We brought them back... but you must stay here and be the Earth's guardian... forever."
So now even though the love of his life and child roam the earth, he reminds outside, unseen, their guardian angel.

❥Fruits & Veggies
Creux's favorite fruit are cherries, for many interesting reasons. In his mortal life, his favorite fact about cherries was that the Dead Sea scrolls said that the seeds or pits could give you satanic powers. He never would dare eat the pits, but not in fear of becoming evil, but in fear that they would give him a nasty stomach ache!
His favorite type of cherry is called the Sweet Cherry or Wild Cherry, for their wild color and sweet flavor obviously!
The sweet cherry, or Prunus Avium, is native to Europe, Western Turkey, Northwestern Africa, Western Asia, British Isles, and more. The gum from bark wounds of the cherry tree is aromatic and can be chewed as a substitute for chewing gum, which Creux would always send out for, because of it's rich taste.
Creux has always loved the fleshy sweet insides of the cherry, using them with almost everything he ate, and would consider anyon with a cherry blossom orchard a God or Goddess.
Another reason why he loves cherries is because his favorite food is Cherry Pie, and nothing could ever beat that! He used to be the one to cook in the house when he was with Crystal, and cherry pies would always be cooling on the window sill on a breezy and lazy summer evening, the smell drawing some of their most dear neighbors together to sit down and have a slice with the growing family.
Creux no longer has a reason to eat, but he will always remember the power the cherries brought to bring everyone together.
