Similar to the patronus spell, which conjures a self-reflection animal to protect and guide the owner, expecto imagina allows the user to conjure anything from their imagination, as long as it is not life. The execution of the spell is very easy. Simply think of the object you want, make sure to really see it in your mind, and swish your wand, or hand for non-wand users, in a circle and your creation shall appear.

Deep breaths. You can do this Charlie. It's just the council and Minister. Oh gosh. Charlie gulped as the doors opened and he was ushered into the room. Sitting above him were different wizards and witches from the Ministry and in the middle sat the Minister himself. Charlie was there to propose the usage of his new spell for all wizards. He took a deep breath and began his speech on the importance of imagination.

"Fear. Each person in this room has experienced fear in some form. Maybe it’s a fear for a friend, a family member, or yourself. It comes in many forms and we live in a world ravished by it. People are fearful of disasters, death eaters, and many more, too many to list in the short time I have to speak.
Fear is not, however, the most powerful emotion. The only thing greater than fear, is hope. And what better way to give people hope than through the idea of a better world. I believe imagination is the greatest power someone can have, but I want to make it better. The spell I want to be granted to all wizards is the ability to take imagination and bring it to life.
Think about when you were a kid, running around with your imagination wide open, creating whole worlds unique to you. Now think about how happy you would have been to actually be able to see, feel, and over-all experience your creations.
In the world today we have been beat down by deatheater attacks. These disasters leave people feeling like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. But with a thought and a wave of my wand, rebuilding homes, restoring water and food supplies, endless opportunities to help, would take less time and less expenses. It also gives people hope that life is not always grim.
Of course, no spell is without its flaws. The weakness of this spell is that we would not be able to create life. Life is too complex for the the mind to think of. Some things are better left to nature.
I want you to close your eyes. Picture in your head a skittle." He paused to give them time. "Visualize the color." Another pause. "Think about it rolling around in your mouth, the flavor of it. Okay, open your eyes. That is the power of imagination." He let that sink in for a moment before continuing. "So, when you grant me the usage of this spell, we will truly be living in a world" A grin spread across his face. "Of pure imagination. Thank you." With a bow, Charlie waited for the Minister's reply.

The spell brings out Dark Magic for Jadis to command. She can control it with her mind. Every time she uses it, it weakens her ability to control it the next time she uses the spell. Jadis only uses this spell in emergency situations to protect herself or her loved ones.

How the spell works;;

Praeteritum Scientia Spiritu roughly translates to Spirit of Knowledge Past. It is a high level spell that allows the castor to temporarily summon forth an ancient spirit that is believed to hold all the knowledge of the universe; however, the consequences of the spell are severe, requiring a sacrifice to summon forth the spirit from the other realm. Even then, a person may only ask one question in their life time.
