- What are they?
- A Mushpa is a friendly, cat-like, alien species commonly kept as a house pet or service animal on earth- or anywhere else in the Milky Way Galaxy! They were on of the first few alien species to be discovered by humans exploring extraterrestrial planets out side of their solar system, and were quickly discovered to be friendly and highly intelligent creatures. Their ridiculous name was given to them by the man who discovered them- Astronaut Stephen Eversmann, who had pitched the name as a joke to his comrades- but it ended up being their actual name, much to his dismay. Only the finest names come from the crew of the SS "Sparklemuffin."
- Facts;
- • Mushpas always have two spots on their necks! They are usually colorful, as they are sometimes used to ward of predators.
• Lore wise- they are not from earth. They're an alien species similar in size to your average house cat, and are often freighted around to space stations and sold/adopted off!
• They love attention and would totally curl up on your lap like a cat- they pant like a dog when physically exhausted.
• They are omnivorous and eat anything from fruit to human/alien food, which they love but should also be fed to them sparingly, as it often makes the little things hyper. The little ones, especially.
• Their skeletons, horns, paw pads, and innards are a clear substance that resemble goo.
•The pouches hidden under their neck have two purposes-
The first, smaller pouch is filled with harmless a goo-like substance they can spit out. However, it's incredibly sticky and easily immobilizes, they use it to ensnare prey- or, for more humorous uses (they love to play pranks on fellow members of their species).
The second, a pouch to hold food, toys, or anything they'd like! They can also fill it up with Air to ward off predators.
•They are highly social and travel in groups, they primarily communicate with a variety of clicking and meowing sounds. They are very vocal and will mimic sounds of animals, machines, and other things that may happen to make noise!
•Their paws are fully mobile and are able to grasp anything well, making them fantastic climbers- coupled with a prehensile tail, they can reach high places quickly and love it! They're just like cats, they judge you from those high places, too...
•Their tails tend to be a foot-foot and a half long.
•The eggs they lay are gooey! The parents like to stick items of importance to them, which bond with the hatchling and may effect them personally and design-wise! It's actually a miracle the eggs stay egg shaped, we don't know why they do.

- • As of now, you may only own 4 of these, and staff may own 6. This number will be increased in the future if these become more popular.
• You are allowed and encouraged to add items to your Mushpas!
• Please ask permission from one of our staff members before re-adopting, gifting, or re-naming your Mushpa!
• AU created that deviate from traditional lore of the species are totally fine and also encouraged! Be creative!
• Any two Mushpa can be mates as long as they are not related!
