21/feb/2016: new way of displaying bumblebutts- now instead of having your name, bumblebutt gender & palette on your custom, it will be just the bumblebutt unless you want your name or bumblebutt's name (for a sig etc.). if you want the palette, include that in your request form. c:

These little bees come in all sorts of colours, this is just an example of a common bee.

Bumblebutt Lore

Bumblebutt Bees live in the Enchantrae Forest, which is primarily filled with insects and small mammals. There is an abundance of flora, especially flowers, which provides the Bumblebutts plenty of food to share with each other and the other creatures inhabiting the forest. There are small ponds scattered throughout the forest, and bumblebutts make their homes near these for a water source. there is also the Great Lake, located in the middle of the forest.
Although they don't follow typical bee housing (Bumblebutts don't share a hive with hundreds of others) they do live in colonies and build their own little hives near other Bumblebutts in their colonies, high up in trees. they do have a queen bee, and only she can lay eggs that will develop into new queens. queens are incredibly rare as there is only one for each colony. queen Bumblebutts don't mate with another Bumblebutt, they produce offspring themselves. despite this, the new queens can be vastly different in design.
when a new queen egg is laid, the colony will make preparations. once she has developed into an adult, half the hive will leave with her to create a new colony.
Bumblebutts can produce offspring with up to three Bumblebutts, but they only mate with one, and this is the one they share a hive with. Bumblebutts who are mated produce a larger number of offspring, generally 3-5 eggs, while unmated Bumblebutts typically only produce 1-2 eggs.
Bumblebutts are very playful and happy. They are also very sleepy and it can take them three hours to get from one flower to another. They just love taking naps in the sun!
Each Bumblebutt has it's own personality, so don't look at one and think 'they're all the same!'
Bumblebutts love interacting with other insects, but most animals scare them, because they're much bigger than the Bumblebutts. however friendships between animals and Bumblebutts do happen.
