Cloud Maned Dragons are a species made by me, Carrot. This species was created for NanaChicken in a lineart contest. We are both the proud owners of these adorable adoptables. Read below to find out more.
I'm sure you're all wondering what's a cloud maned dragon. Well, they are small dragons around the size of a bull terrier. The smallest they can get is to the size of a chihuahua. They have fluffy manes like a lion and fluffy, curly fur that looks like clouds. They have large, long ears similar to a rabbit's and a long fluffy lion tail. They have feathery/fluffy wings and small crooked, pointed horns. They are mostly part dragon compared to what else they're mixed with. They come in all colors and patterns possible, but most common is natural colors and colors of nature. They have a certain breeding season which is in the winter. If these creatures have their young in the winter then they can nurse them to be strong and are ready to set off on their own in the summer already. That means that soon we will have breeding season. They love cold temperatures and playing in the snow. They are easy to train, non-shedding pets that anybody can adopt. They eat fish, insects, worms, and sometimes small snakes. They have small talons/claws that they use to climb trees and mountains, along with sandpaper-like pads on their paws.
Cloud Manes Dragons live among broods depending on their color. There's the North Brood, North East Brood, North West Brood, East Brood, South East Brood, South Brood, South West Brood, and the West Brood. They are very social creatures, which some broods can be like ally's and most are enemies. The Dragons in each brood have a different magic ability, religion, it's physical abilities, and more. Some of these creatures can contain a variety of colors, but the color they are most made of shows what brood they're in. For instance; a blue or Cloud Maned Dragon with lots of blue on it will be in the East Brood. Dragons opposing another brood normally dislike them and there is war.
