I HAVE A QUESTION!

TYPE OF QUESTION:Algebra 2 (Factoring)

YOUR QUESTION:The question says to multiply (5x-4)^3 I know you FOIL but I don't know how to apply it to an exponent of three
Thank you for the help

At the beginning, you have (5x - 4)(5x - 4)(5x - 4).

Start by multiplying two of the factors, so (5x - 4)(5x - 4). You can use FOIL for that, and should get (25x^2 - 40x + 16)

You then have (5x - 4)(25x^2 - 40x + 16). You want to distribute the (5x - 4), so multiply each factor of the (25x^2 - 40x + 16) by 5x, then multiply each factor by -4.

That should get you 125x^3 - 200x^2 + 80x - 100x^2 + 160x - 64

Combine like factors, and you have 125x^3 -300x^2 + 240x - 64

Hope that made sense! Feel free to ask more questions if anything confused you c:

THANK YOU so much for taking the time in answering my question !
I understood what you said and makes much more sense than what my teacher explained <3

I HAVE A QUESTION!
TYPE OF QUESTION: Maths (graph transformations)
YOUR QUESTION: Im very confused on how to complete question 8b.
Question 8a (for context) // Question 8b (question I’m seeking help with)
I know how I’d do it algebraically but I’ve been told to use graph transformations to work it out and just can’t figure out how they apply?
Thanks so much for any help!

I HAVE A QUESTION!
TYPE OF QUESTION: English
YOUR QUESTION: I need help to better understand prepositions, and how to identify them more clearly.

I know they link nouns, pronouns, and phrases to other objects within a sentence, but it is just so very confusing for me. This also applies to prepositional phrases. I've tried to look online to try and understand them more by completing online quizzes, but I always just get confused on how to identify them without getting a ton wrong. If anyone could help clarify prepositions to me I'll be much obliged! :D

Prepositions are words that describe where the object of a sentence is.

Some examples are: Above, below, beneath, beside, between, before beyond

A prepositional phrase is a phrase containing a preposition.

Example: The sloth was below the tree.

Below the tree is considered a prepositional phrase because it describes where the sloth is!

Identifying a Prepositional Phrase

If you can remove a prepositional phrase from a sentence and the sentence still makes sense, then it is a prepositional phrase.
Example:

He came by the office in a big hurry.

He came by the office in a big hurry.

By the office is a prepositional phrase, as it describes where he came.

He came by the office in a big hurry.

By getting rid of "by the office", we are left with "He came in a big hurry"

This makes sense, therefore "by the office" is a prepositional phrase!

Edit: I messed up, but it should be the same haha. There was another prep. phrase in the sentence as well.

Hm. I'm not sure either. Are you sure the teacher specified graph transformations and not just graphs? My two suggestions would be to: 1) contact others in the class and ask what they did for the question, and 2) ask your teacher about it tomorrow. =U
A lot of times, if a few of us asked a question on a homework, the teacher would go over it in class with us before having us turn in our homework. Hopefully you've got some good teachers like that, too!

It's essentially just guess and check, so I can't provide a method, but
    3AgNO3+3NaClO -> 2AgCl+AgClO3+3NaNO3 should work.
