So it's day one of what my mom calls "our 2017 Christmas Triathlon" (we're celebrating over 3 days)
Some amusing things I've heard/seen today

~my sister in the back seat this morning. "Solitaire Solitaire! I'm an old lady at heart!"

~my mom explaining to my grandpa why dogs like squeaky toys as my dogs murder stuffed emoji squeaky toys

~us siblings placing bets on how long said toys would last. We all lost; they're still intact

~my family is really into pinochle. Just heard my mom say "I had a marriage once. It didn't last long" as my dad beat her at the game.

- My brother a couple months ago would nonstop say "It's high noon somewhere in the world" over and over and now it pretty much plays on repeat in my head, so even though he isn't annoyed with it, every hour on the hour (and sometimes half-hour), every chance I get, I'll steam chat him "it's high noon somewhere in the world" to remind him of the suffering he caused.

- My brother and I were at an office supply store the other day, and they had one of those things where you can test out some pens, and they had a little notebook to write on you know? After we wrote some stuff, I decided to flip through to see what other people wrote, so I picked up the very middle of the notebook and discovered that some kid wrote "I hate family" in it, we both laughed for several minutes straight ^_^
