Hey guys!
Just thought I would stop in and say hi. A looong time ago, I used to be a furry and I made fursuits and everything ^w^ since then I've had to put that hobby to a halt because my life is extremely busy now.



Here's a picture of my latest fursuit that I made back in 2013 (the doggy one, not the deer). It took a lot of practice, probably around 8 partials or so to get my skill to be like that and even now, I'm not happy with it. It's been a looong time since then and I could probably do better now, but I don't have the time or money to try again. Going to conventions was my favourite part. So many hugs! It was a wonderful hobby and I loved it dearly!

Fave thing about the Fandom: My favorite part about the fandom is the love we can share by acting as other charcters. I enjoy being able to express myself in a way that others many find strange, yet I feel is natural! I love the process of making fursuits. As well as interacting with others! You get t meet so many different kinds of people. I also love fursuit dancing in conventions! I have sever anxiety and my fursuits helps me relieve that stress and dance in frount of a crowed. anyone know a good place to get fabric online? i need fluffy dark yellow and dark teal. there isnt anything close at my local fabricland so any suggestions?

Distinctive Fabric, Fabric, and Fabric Depot, among others. If any of those don't strike your fancy, just doing a quick Google search for "places to buy faux fabric" should bring up other results.

So guys, the next suit I make is going to be of my fursona Kiwi (very rough drawing of her here-still making changes) and I'm wondering, do you guys think one yard of each fabric will be enough for it? (it's going to be a 3/4 suit)

I would get 2 yards of the green if I were you, just to play it safe. For the others you should be fine with 1 yard each!
If you have extra afterwards you can make plushies, pillows, or other projects, but it would suck if you ran out halfway through making your fursuit

Alright, thank you! I'll be buying one yard of green (just in case I make changes or something with colors) and if I need more I'll get more ^-^

EDIT: Another question, do you guys think fleece would be okay to use for the seeds?

I think it's possible, but if you glued them directly onto the fur fabric it won't look too great and might fall off. You'd have to sew it in directly, so like cut a hole in the fur fabric and sew it there. It would be tedious and if you're not too confident with sewing in small markings you could attempt painting it on? I'm not quite sure what type of paint people use for that though.
