i've recently started scent work training with hazel, with intention to put more titles on her ( she already has her tkn ) . we've got a solid start and she's picked up really quick . she absolutely LOVES it so it makes it a really fun thing to get into . we've got a pretty solid "down when i find the smell" going and i'm pretty excited .

tho what im most excited for is the "intro to barn hunt" class i signed up for ! hazel is dog reactive, so im a little nervous to be in the group setting- but once she's working she's good so hopefully it goes well .
is anyone else into barn hunt and scent work ? is there anything i can do to prepare for barn hunt specifically ? i've got a good grasp on the scent work, but if there's anything that's helpful to barn hunt specifically i would love to know !

Partis are those with white on them. She’s a black and cream/silver Phantom. Phantom is the term used for pointed dogs.

Hello! Wow, I haven’t posted on here in years.

Not sure if anyone is still around who might remember him, but here are some new and updated pictures of my boy, Panic! (My account namesake, of course❤️)
He will be 9 years old in February and is still the very best dog to ever happen to me.

Look at this smiling boy! He had his first home hair cut for the first time in his 6 and a half years of life. My mom did it and I love it. I always prefer his hair short. Main reason I couldn't take him to the groomers is because his shots need to be updated. Money has been very tight since I moved up to my parents. And when I say everything has gone wrong I mean it. From Step Dad's heath Issues to mortgage problems to car issues. I'm thankful for tax season because I can finally have the money to take him to the vet. I used to do a care program with the vet company he goes to but think I'm gonna pass on it. it automatically doubles in price as soon as he turns 7 since he becomes a senior dog then. So no point in restarting it and then that happening. I honestly woudn't mind him on it but I'm gonna have to wait till i can get a car. Once I have one I can start looking for better jobs with better pay. Stuck right now.

@oddball1234 he looks so happy! Your mum did a good job.
I remember every time my aunt's Shih Tzu Benji came back from the groomers he'd have the classic cut and he'd look silly, but Killian looks so good.
I've never taken my dog to the groomers because it's not something I can afford, so I scissor trim her face every month or so, and every year when it gets warmer I spend hours hand stripping her :'). It's exhausting work because she's staffie sized and longer haired than your average terrier but she gets too hot and knotted in summer otherwise, and I love a freshly groomed dog, it makes them look so much younger and more vibrant :)
