She was actually eating a whole prey item lol. This shot was better, but can’t share the full shot here since there is whole prey in it.

I do intend on teaching her to snap the air on cue eventually, just haven’t got there yet.

@maninkari

Yeah, I really love how Spade filled out. Her dad is a big guy, his chain weight sitting right at 76lbs and her mom is a small girl, chain weight 35lbs and even less conditioned.
Spade sits around 40-45lbs, but she might be a bit closer to 50 right about now. She's still very lean, how could she not be, but is a little chunky but I don't mind since it's close to winter anyways.

edit;
Gaah, the only collar I have that can withstand how hard Spade is on her chain and now its all raggedy from rough play with the puppy.

Chloe is ten now! Her birthday was yesterday. I was hoping to post earlier last night with the pictures but my computer is slow, or the hosting site is slow, or my internet, I don't know. *sigh* So it's past 12 here so it's not technically her birthday any more. Oh, well. She's still cute anyways....

The first picture is of her sporting her new Woodrow Wear socks. They had a line designed for dogs with hare feet so I decided to give them a try. They did seem to fit her well but we'll see how they hold up on a walk.

The second picture is her modeling her new dress. She is also wearing her new collar, it's green and has elephants on it (some are pink). She got some treats and money which will go towards vet bills. Of course for Chloe the highlight was the pupcake. She seemed to know it was coming and had hung out in the kitchen while I was baking them.

What age do you guys recommend that I get Bond neutered (I can post pictures of him later if you guys would like!) My only choices are 6 months (near Christmas time), 7 months (sometime in January) or 8 months (close to presidents break). I was originally going to do 7 months, but I don't have any week off from school in January, like in December and February. Plus I don't think someone will be home 24/7 to watch that he doesn't lick his area. I feel like 6 months is on the younger side, and I wouldn't mind doing it in February since I have a week off, it's a bit older (I want to get him neutered asap) but I'm still debating. Also, how long did it take for your guy's pups to recover from getting neutered?

@Imzadi, I actually haven’t tried bows! That’ll be next on my to-do list now haha. Also a big happy birthday hug from us to Chloe! Her birthday dress is fabulous, it really suites her.

@lying beast;; we neutered our bully mix at 1 yr. ended up having a bad infection even with a cone but he recovered in three weeks. if we do neuter or spay it’s after our dog is fully grown. . Our dachshund and Eskimo are not neutered because we don’t see a reason anymore since there aren’t any female dogs in the house and they are always on leashes outside.

speaking of loki, last weekend got to see him and when i had to leave he tried to follow me out the apartment. he made it to the stairs before i told him to go back in the house. little wiener gave me the most pitiful face before sulking back to my mom by the door.

So far so good with Killian. I'm still keeping a close eye on him just in case he did swallow the hair bow Thursday. I know that night I had to rush him outside about 2 am cause he had to puke but I couldn't see anything. he seems to like both the pedigree dentastix and greenies. He looks pretty healed from his neuter . so happy about that.

    paranoid about parvo.. as someones 4 month old puppy recently got it.

    ive never had anything to do with the dog’s vaccinations and im very lucky my mom used to be a vet tech. but right now shes busy so cant answer my questions.

    so
    1) can my mom’s dogs give the puppy parvo??
    2) can the puppy get parvo after having the vaccinations?
    3) what age(s) do puppies get the parvo shots?
    4) does that mean no socialization ??
    5) can i purchase the vaccinations or can the vets only give them?

    1) only if they currently have Parvo then it can transfer to the puppy.
    2) Im pretty sure it can
    3) not sure about this one !
    4) no socialization or interactions with any other dogs
    5) only vets

    edit;;
    go check out halogen's post c:
    let me know if any of this is incorrect ;o !!
