Ah, those are beautiful~
One of my older French Mondain's has quite similar markings to your mason roller.
I've yet to see a tangerine dove, perhaps you could share a picture.

For the time i've been breeding my rock pigeon pair i have never hatched a red pigeon,
i'm thinking about buying a younger red and breeding him with one of my newer tipplers.

Just curious- why do you guys breed? Is it a hobby, or do you sell them or something? I don't know anything about breeding birds, so I'm just really interested to know your motivations :0

definitely beautiful~

What colour were its parents?
I assume it was a random gene,
but I'm really looking into breeding
a red pigeon and perhaps knowing colour
combinations will help.

I love Pigeons sm!!! every time I take a trip down to NYC I always name every pigeon I see.

guys, I've been considering getting a new bird/some new birds recently. I don't know if I want parakeets again, although I love them.
but it'd be nice to be friends w something different !! but I'm not sure if I'm ready for a bigger bird like a cockatoo. I'd say up to like,
a conure would be the max for me

My rock pigeon recently layed a small clutch of eggs ,, sadly two broke, yet I hatched the last myself and the little guy came out yesterday ~

He's eating quite well, and already has quite a big mouth.
Any other pigeon keepers?~
Oh, that's really cool! Are you having to feed him, or is mama-bird doing that? c:

Our pigeons laid two eggs either last week, or early this, I think ;p
Ah its always nice
To have new babies.

I'm currently feeding him, but mama bird
doesn't let me take him for too long~
Indeed it is! ^-^

Oh, that's really cool! c:

A bit of help?

My 3 day old rock pigeon keeps
throwing up his food, this hasn't
happened to any of my nests before but
he seems fine other than that~

(Also my breeding pair have laid their
Last egg, I'm going to incubate it as
they tend to break their eggs)

UPDATE: He didn't survive, poor thing~
Oh, no, that's awful! I'm so sorry! D:

Man your birds are cool, Tabbster! So pretty. And I wish my birds could be that friendly, haha :p What breed is your tangerine? c:

I don't know whether this was also addressed to me or not, but To be completely honest, my parents aren't actually too keen on having the doves they're rock pigeons, yes. I name them wrongly, yes. breed, haha :p But I love doves, and it always makes me feel stink when I have to steal their eggs, plus we don't have many anymore and the ones we do have are old. Um... where was I going with this? Oh yeah, they're from my grandparents, too. And we used to have doves here a long time ago, so I guess also that? But really, the aviary would be lonely without those clumsy beasts. I couldn't bear to see them die out. I breed budgies for selling/observing/learning, though; they make me a nice bit of pocket-money lol

Oh, that's awesome! ^-^
I wish your budgies luck! My birds did that once, too; one was the wife, whom the male helped, and she managed to raise five babies to adult-hood. The other was the concubine, whom the male didn't help, and she could only raise two at a time 0-0
