Hi so here are my chickens!

All black one: Eegs
Brown one: N’zinga
Yellow one: ruby
Reddish one: Mrs. Dinkles
Black speckled one: Edgelord

You see though, I don’t know what kind of chicken ruby is

She lays brown eggs and I don’t know what she was supposed to be either. She’s a year old and I’ve been told she looks like an Easter egger based off of her crown and cheeks. But the colours seem off- any ideas?

The colors might be different than in pictures. Easter eggers can be many different colors and patterns!

Silkies are such sweet birds. Those and D'uccles are probably my favorite bantams. They're just so personable.

And speaking of ducks (and other waterfowl...)
Been a busy summer.
Across from the road to the campground where we have our trailer on a permanent site, we spotted a flock of Tolouse and American Buff geese with a whole bunch of goslings back in May. Older daughter has wanted a goose for 0years. I told her if she called and asked about them herself she could get one. So she calls and leaves a message. Two days later, we're on our way to Missouri on a trip and the woman calls her back. So we send her boyfriend and my mom to pick up a gosling and my younger daughter, who stayed home to mind the menagerie, is charged with making little one friendly till we get back.
And that's how we added an American Buff Toulouse to our collection. She's awesome! Between her and the muscovies, I haven't had to cut the grass all summer!

Speaking of muscovies...that's another new adventure. I've had two dozen muscovy eggs in the incubator for the past three weeks. Conveniently, two hens went broody now so last night I put the viable eggs under the hens because I think they'll have a better chance of actually hatching with the help of the hens. I know muscovies are notoriously hard to hatch artifically. So we shall see...

So I've got a bit of a dilemma...
I'm allowing myself another 20 bucks to spend on nonsense this week.
Should I spend it on CS$ and grab a few more sets of store pets before the next ones roll out for August?
Or should I get 4 new chicks from TSC?
I'm always up for extra trade fodder.
But I really need to add a few production birds to my flock this fall as my flock is more "designer birds" than utility and I'm just not getting enough eggs lately to justify keeping the flock to 'daHubby.

But I really need to add a few production birds to my flock this fall as my flock is more "designer birds" than utility and I'm just not getting enough eggs lately to justify keeping the flock to 'daHubby.

If it were me, I'd get more chickens. C$ are great and all but I would spend it on real life things (or even companions when it comes to animals) instead of in-game currency that could literally be taken away from you if you were hacked or CS got shut down or the internet went down for good or something... I know that sounds kinda crazy, but idk how to explain it. To me, the internet, social media, none of it is assured or perminant or tends to make a physical impact long-term.

However this is my preference as I value real life interactions and experiences over virtual ones.

And basically it's choosing real pets vs digital ones. Depends what matters more to you.. but I would get more chicks ^^
