The forest was quiet. Moonlight washed over the trees, giving the world a blue glow.
A lone figure slid glided through. She weaved gracefully between the tree trunks, only stopping when she heard a sound.
It was an odd sound; much like a kitten and a baby elephant sneezing at the same time.
She looked down to see a small something sneezing. It had wings (like here) but they were more bat-like (unlike her). She vaguely remembered the word dragon, but it didn't seem to fit this creature. It was small and, quite frankly - adorable, whereas dragons were large monsters.
She held her hand out to the tiny beast. It shrunk away at first, but then a cool breeze blew by and it shivered. it pressed itself to her hand, obviously cold.
She picked it up gently, and it curled around her hand.
"Hello friend," she whispered fondly, before cradling it to her chest. "Let's go warm you up."
