Now, there are snacks and treats under the hayloft, and a small area in the middle of the barn if you want to try what these strange humans call "dancing". If you want to enter the contest- what am I saying? Of course you do!- forms for entry are on the haybales to your left. Lastly, make sure you have fun!"

Rules

You must own a Wild Mountain Equid to participate in the Costume Contest.
All site, Tess' rules, and Horsy's rules still apply here. You're warned.
No fighting, complaining, asking for critique, or chatting on this thread, please. Let's keep everything tidy. Questions are more than welcome, though, if you found that they haven't been answered in the rules c:
Each equid can only enter one event category, and you may enter up to three equids total. Each category will have a winner and a runner-up.

xx NOTE: For the "Best Foal" costumes, your equid has to be bred! No first-gen adopts are allowed in this category.
xx Also, if your costumed is "Themed" (based off of a character of any kind), it does not have to be entered in the "Themed" category. For example: My Solana is dressed as Hera. She could either enter the "Most Beautiful" costume or the "Best Themed" costume.

You must choose a costume that no one else has already claimed. A list will be provided of what costumes are already taken, PM me so I can approve of your idea first! Costumes can be anything from traditional costumes to superheros, etc. Just remember! Make sure your equid can move in them, and they aren't injuring or hindering them in any way!

xx Also! If you're making your equid something traditional, such as a witch, try and make it more specific. For example. a "Nightshade Witch" or a "Flame Witch". That way others who have an idea might be able to make theirs. I'll inform you if your idea is too general.
xx Be sure of your costume before you PM me, because once you've chosen and I've approved it, you cannot go back and change it.

Please do not bump the thread. I'll bump the thread, and ensure that everyone has a fair chance to complete their forms.
TThe competition will end on October 27th, and I will release the winners on Halloween, should I have time. November 1st will be the latest.
As for art and story, only one of each is allowed, and they are optional. Art can be anything, and will be judged on creativity and effort, not skill. Stories are max of 1000 words, and will be judged also by creativity and effort. They MUST include your equid in their costume, maybe searching for treats, on their way to the party, talking with another equid, etc. It can be anything related to the event or the holiday!
There will most likely be more rules, so keep an eye out! c:

Each costume requires its own drawn reference (I will be providing gift lines for those who can't make their own lines), then the optional art and story section is where you can draw them or write about then partaking in any aspect of the event, holiday, etc. (Trick or Treating, dancing with another Equid, etc.) c: These still add points, but they are not required.

Remember that you can only enter each equid in one category!
