Crocodiles do take care of their young for a short while though. They carry them to the water and stay around for a bit. I can imagine a lot of dinosaurs did the same: guarding the nest and then leading the young somewhere with food a little more safety. Maybe staying with them for a few weeks.
I think most herbivores where a little more caring for their young than the large theropods. Since they were often living it heards and thus a bit more social.
It's hard to know for sure though, fossils can only tell us so much.

Edit:
There's a website that shows all locations of where fossils have been found and of which dino. You can find out what walked around the place where your house is now: http://www.paleobiodb.org

In my case, since I'm from the Netherlands, mostly aquatic reptiles and some small flying reptiles. There used to be a shallow ocean here.

Of course it's okay! Everyone is welcome.
What's your favorite dinosaur?

Mine's definitely the Utahraptor but I also really like the Therizinosaurus and spinosaurus.

Yay! Well I'd say my favourite dinosaur is either the Triceratops or Velociraptor.
Although I also have a bit of a soft spot for the Edmontosaurus

I have too many favorite dinosaurs. :p

Anyone else play any dinosaur games? Right now I have 500+ hours on ARK: Survival Evolved. I also have The Isle and have pre-ordered Saurian. When I was a kid, I remember playing Dino Run all the time...was one of my favs lol.

I have the isle! But I can't play it on my laptop sadly. I've tried everything but it seems that my graphics card is not as good as expected. I have an hour play time from just starting it. It keeps crashing after 7 or so minutes. I'm getting a new laptop when I'm starting college this year so I'll be able to play then... I follow Anthomnia on yt for his Isle videos. I really like the idea of the realism servers.

I'm not going to preorder anything (not after what happened with no mans sky, not that I pre-ordered that, just learning from other people's mistakes) but I'm looking forward to saurian!

I've only seen loads of Ark videos with pokemon and whatnot. I didn't know it was supposed to be a dinosaur game..

------------------

There's a new dinosaur adoptable in the adoptable oekaki!
There aren't many yet as of now so if you adopt one you'd be one of the first to own one x)
I personally love that they're more realistic and feathered!

-------------------
Edit:
I made a new raptor editable
I tried making it as realistic as I could as far as accuracy goes ^^ if you guys think of anything I could add, let me know!

You can say whatever you want as long as it's about dinos. Have you guys heard of the Nodosaur and the Zuul crurivastator? They both have been recently revealed. They're some of the best kept fossils ever found! Both are types of ankylosaurs.
Here's the article about the nodosaur
And this is one about the Zuul crurivastator

I heard about the nodosaur finding, which was really amazing.

This is one of my fav documentaries I found a couple years ago, pretty informative. Delves into the appearance of baby dinosaurs using fossil evidence and wonders if lot of dinosaurs species discovered that look different could actually be the same species, just adolescent or juvenile versions. Has a lot of good arguments. Also love that this video shows the relation between birds and dinos through chicken embryos with teeth.

Ah the video is blocked here D: shame
I've seen a ted talk about the baby dino thing and I'm very sure he's right about at least some dinos. Like the nano T-Rex. That one is a hoax for sure, I mean come on. We've "never found a baby T-Rex before" pfff but there's a species from the same era known as the nano T-Rex. No way.
It's only because you get a lot more media attention and money for a new species than an already known one. That's why there's more species than actually found.
I was in the natural history museum of paris last friday and they had a Rex skull and a "nano" rex skull, so stupid >> but then again it looked like they were behind on a lot of things. The brontosaurus skeleton they had came with a completely wrong sculpture that dragged it's tail over the ground and their Allosaurus skeleton stood upright leaning on it's tail.
