look, even if you don’t have groups around or live in a rural area, if you go out to the city or an amusement park occasionally, you can play the game. i live in an area where the only thing i can see is part of a road on the very outskirts of the map. no pokestops or gyms around for at least 5 miles. but i still love the game, and anytime i go anywhere, i open it up and do whatever i can.
just because you live somewhere inactive, doesn’t mean you can’t take day trips out to a city, or even a local park.
i personally don’t do many raids, and am more here for the collecting aspect, if you go to any amusement park, you’ll find a raid party.

My city is the 3rd largest one in the country, and I really don't have the time or money to take regular trips to our capital city just for pokemon. Plus the one time I was there, none of the raids I visited had a single person there. Aand we really don't have any huge amusement parks at all. I don't think theres any in my city period.

And yeah, collecting is what I focus on too. Which is why I'm so upset, that I'll probably never be able to get any of the legendaries. My first gen dex is literally complete, if it werent for the legends and couple regionals. And second is coming close too.

i personally don’t own a single legendary, which doesn’t bother me because i honestly like the thrill of saving up candies to evolve to new pokemon. i think having just the more powerful pokemon vs. having the rarer pokemon is much more exciting.

That was always the same for Pokemon though. I still remember the days with my old Gameboy and nobody to trade with.. missing out on special event Pokemon even now.

They still have trading options, though. Worldwide ones, while I think pokego had said we'd only get local ones.

But you still don't have access to all the legendaries or special Pokémon which are only given out at certain events.
What I want to say is just: with Pokemon nothing is set up "fair" for all, there is always a part you might miss out on. That is not just Pokemon Go. c:

I'll move from having 5 Pokestops / 7 gyms in my nearby list to a small very rural town with one Pokestop and at least one gym. This will be fun. |D

What I want to say is just: with Pokemon nothing is set up "fair" for all, there is always a part you might miss out on. That is not just Pokemon Go. c:

I don't see that as an excuse but rather a criticism to all of their games.
I mean its one thing to want a form of exclusivity or to keep some pokemon rarer than others, and another to ignore the fact that so many players could not get one of them, no matter how hard they tried. It would make sense to have them as a reward for effort, or just keep them insanely rare spawns or something. Not a reward for having enough people in an area to actually do a raid.
I mean, it's been said before that its so skewed towards people in buge cities with massive pokeGo communities. Many of them have like 10 of each legendary, while those who don't have communities like that available, and the nearest massive city is literally a good 10+ hours of driving away.
And its the same with the regionals. Yeah, it's a cool idea, but at the end of the day it only gives a chance to those who are extremely wealthy, or those who cheat, which gives off some nasty P2W vibes to me. And the other pokemon games got around this by having both game versions available in the same areas (when speaking about version exclusive pokemon), and worldwide trading.
All I want to do is fill up my dex, but it really is discouraging knowing that I will probably never finish even a single generation fully.

Nah, wasn't meant to be that. It's just something that I'm not surprised about and I don't discuss it normally, since it's just... meh. *shrugs*

What annoys me more is the constant change of legendary raid bosses. Once the first one vanishes, we get the next one.
If you can do raids, but are busy, you might lose the chance. It's very stressful.
And if you live in a very rural area and are a child w/o a car you don't only miss out on some of them, but continously missing the rarest pets... *sigh*

The Ex raids are so bad too, with the latest invites going to about 50% of players who never got an invite before. And 50% to players who got one before... ugh.

yes, they’re both regionals! as well as sviper (sorry if i butcher these names, still learning them) and zangoose. they recently had the first ever regional migration, so sviper can now be found in the us/sa area and zangoose is now in the europe region!
