You don't need to restart because of that, you get all of the starters from different NPC's. You get Bulbasaur in Cerulean, Charmander on Route 24, and Squirtle in Vermilion. You just have to catch a certain number of Pokemon, key word, catch. It doesn't matter how many Pokemon you have in your box, if you've caught 41+ Pokemon, you can get Bulbasaur, if you've caught 51+, you can get Charmander, and if you've got 61+, you can get Squirtle

Oddish is the first Pokémon I found after Pikachu! I think it’s cute that you can play with Pikachu and Eevee! That’s all I did for an hour yesterday lol.

Question, when I went to look at my evolutionary stones to evolve my Pikachu, I noticed it looked like my partner Eevee looked like I could evolve it, can I? I was under the impression the partner Pokemon couldn't evolve

No you can't. Idk what happens in LG but in original yellow pikachu gets mad at you if you try.

Trying to use a stone on Eevee gives the message “Eevee doesn’t seem to like it!”

Got far enough to do the Go Park stuff, transferred a load over.. Annoyingly Alolan forms don’t count with the normal forms towards the minigame, but I’ve still got 24 normal Meowth so only need to grab one more... Also used the box and got eight Meltan, transferred them over and caught one... The little interactions with the overworld are so cute~ Wandered round the Power Plant for a bit, and a couple spots popped up that Meltan could “interact” with, and each time was “Meltan is tasting some metal” and there were a few different responses, like it enjoying it, or disliking it or feeling mixed.
