I've had braces for about 2 years now, and I need to keep them on for another year. I've also had a retainer..

don't worry braces don't hurt ^^ They may feel funny for the first couple days but you'll get used to them

I've had braces before. I think my first color was a sky blue, but I could be wrong it was like three years ago. They've been off for about a year and a half. ^^;
Braces are cool and you feel so rewarded in the end. And like SilverStar said, they might feel weird and funny for a few days, but after that, even after appointments, they don't hurt that bad at all.
But if you're looking for relief at any point in time, eat ice cream. Or just eat ice cream anyway, that's what I did, lol! ^-^

XD I just got them on last thursday. Only thing hard is these wires where there are no brackets (Where my teeth were pulled) It was slicing into my mouth, but it's better
