Smooth is usually meant on smooth lines. It has been explained in the first post.

May I suggest you add in the shading section something similar to this?:

You can also use a black, or experament colour brushes to create shading. Simply start a new layer and set the opactity to around 30. This can be edited to how you like it, and how dark you like it:3 Draw around where you would normaly shade. c:It should come out looking like simple shading, you can use the blur tool, located in ''Effects" then "blur". Or you could use the blur tool to get it more accurate.

I know, I just tried to make the second post smaller. x3 I was annoyed too. Hopefully, it's better now.

This is a fantastic little guide. Thank you for making it!
Could you please explain the difference between the Beginner's and Intermediate oekakies, and how to post to the Intermediate board. I haven't found that mentioned anywhere else on the site, and it's very confusing. =3
