Dawn of a New World

The city of Breone was a joyous and lively place, even though there were very small crimes that didn't matter to anyone in particular. One day, a dark mist engulfed the city and plunged the world into chaos. An army of ghouls, shadow-like beings and large, strange-looking monsters appeared from the mist and destroyed most of the city; Breone was at war. People were caught unaware of this attack and took as much action as they could.

Now the war had ended, but the war isn't over. The remains of the monstrous army have started to stir once again, but this time Breone was prepared. They have called upon you - an unknown hero - to help the Breonean army to defeat the oncoming onslaught of monsters. Your skills are unlike any other soldier. You are different from the rest. You are the the Dawn of a New World.

1: You can have no more than four characters; it will become too difficult for you otherwise.
2: You may not use any excessive swearing. If you need to, star the WHOLE word (eg: ****).
3: You may not kill off another person's character without permission.
4: Please post at least twice a week. If you are going to be away for a while, tell me and I'll make your character "M.I.A"

The Shadows are shifty things that are dependant on dark areas such as overhangs and the shadow of objects. If you ever have to fight your own shadow, be careful.

The ghouls are beings that have been affected by the shadows. They are strong and able-bodied. Be careful.

The monsters are stronger than the other two, varying in size, shape and appearance. Make sure you are not alone when you are fighting one of these.

Personality:
Blade is a quiet person who only talks when spoken to or if he has something to say. He thinks things through, always coming up with a solution to everything. Because he is part Shadow, he can sense the shadows when they are hidden in the darkness, even if no one else can and because of this, he is often alert all the time. Blade is good-natured and very smart when it comes to weaponry, computers and vehicles.
History:
Christian "Blade" Galestorm was born in a town north of Breone called Cesily. He had one sister that he grew up with but she soon departed after an accident that took her life. It was sad, but he knew that the end was yet to come. Blade offered to partake in a secret experiment that changed his entire being from a normal human to a Dark Neko, a cross-breed of a Neko and a Shadow. He was a huge success and now he has been recruited by the G.E.C.R.S to partake in the war against the army of monsters.

Abilities:
Shadow Rain: A shadow-based attack that uses dark energy as projectiles that scatter in the air above the enemy then rain down onto them.
Flash Shadow: Causes a flash of darkness to temporarily blind the enemy (can be countered with light-type attacks).
Midnight Eclipse: (Can only be used at night) Causes a black haze to cover the moon, causing a eerie darkness to fall across the city. This causes and Dark-type attacks to be stronger than they were originally.

Half angel and half human. Mortal with powers associated with light and flight.

Appearance: Long black hair and fair skin. Her eyes a beautiful white-gold color and they seem to glow in dim light. She can grow a pair of white wings from her back that also seem to glow with white-gold light.

Personality: Helena is and odd person. She is usually very quiet and observant. People assume that because she's half angel that she'd a goody-two-shoes. Quite the opposite. She has no qualms about making others suffer and she's very good at manipulating people. Sometimes it seems she has no emotions at all. Because of this, people have called her a sociopath. And maybe she is. She certainly has displayed a lack of understanding of human emotions. She knows how they work in other people though and is not above using that to her advantage. She's very logical and calculating. She's also learned how to mimic emotions so that she doesn't stand out quite as much as a sociopath, but this mask does slip from time to time.

History: Helena's father was an angel who fell in love with a mortal woman. When Helena was born he left her and her mother. He only visited from time to time and Helena's mother thought she was a freak. Helena was neglected so she learned to fend for herself. After a while she just stopped feeling things. She thinks it happened because she needed to protect herself. She finds it very liberating. She was happy when given the chance to strike out on her own.

Weapon(s): She doesn't carry weapons around with her habitually.

Abilities: She can grow her wings and use those for flight. she's quite good at it too. She can also manipulate light. This usually constitutes making light come from her hands or putting out light sources. The sun is the only thing she can't put out, but she can divert sunlight away from places to hide them in darkness. She can blast light at people to blind them or focus light to a strong pin-point to burn things.
