Ain glances to see what he was looking at, the building gave him an uneasy feeling. "Ah... I guess we could" he says, forcing his uneasiness down. Something just kept telling him that there was going to be something bad inside.

The building appeared to be akin to a church, with what appeared to be once gothic archways and things of the sort. Sifting through some of the rubble, J.D. found the door was mostly intact, but scratched through a bit at the top. It was a small enough door that he had to bend down to get in. Something could easily get trapped inside, and the door was somehow still locked. Using his revolver he shot the lock (great idea, definitely try that at home) and turned the handle again, which opened like nothing. "That wasn't too hard, now was it?" He said, and opened the door wide. As soon as he did, a stony-gray colored creature barreled into him, larger than the doorframe itself, reducing the building's facade to scraps. The creature was huge, with rigid jaws, short, but massive legs with claws protruding from stubby feet, and a purplish mane and tail of the same fur and color. Spikes dotted its entire body, and it appeared to have no eyes, or ones that must be hidden under its tangled mane. J.D. scrambled out from under it, back onto his feet, although his knees were wobbly and he was scratched up, and to Ain's side, shaking, and pointing his revolver directly at the beast.

Ain quickly notices the beast and changes the sword into a glass spear. "Brocken Phantasm..." he mutters before letting magical energy pour into it and hurling the spear towards the beast, making sure to not get the boy in the process. He suddenly felt very weak after the move, to the point of getting a head-ache. Something was definitely not right.

The beast reared up on its hind legs, and the spear hit it on the chest. It fell back, roaring, and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. J.D. was still trembling and shooting aimlessly at the trees, and only stopped after a few more seconds, clearly shaken up.

Ain glanced at the male, while holding his aching head. This human form is wearing thin... I won't be able to stay in it once my magic is gone... But what if it doesn't come back in my Celestial form... He almost paled at that though, what if he couldn't go into his celestial form in general. He shook his head clear of that, he didn't need to worry about it at the moment. "Are you alright...?" he asks.

"I'm...fine," J.D. murmured, taking a second to catch his breath. His knees and elbows were scraped up, and he had a nasty cut on his cheek, bu nothing he couldn't handle. He was more worried about Ain. "Is your head okay..?"

"It'll be fine... It seems as though the more I use my magic, the bigger the back lash on this form is..." Ain says with a grimace. "All I need is some rest..." he adds, before noticing that they had found what looked like to be a church. Perhaps he could pray to his goddess to try and get answers from her and possibly mana (magical energy) back as well.
