J.D. winced at the thought of eating this little rabbit. They do it in Germany, right? He picked up a part of it, and then, smiling weakly, turned to Ain. "Why don't you take first bite?" Yeah, it was cheap to pass it on to him, but whatever, this wouldn't be the worst thing he'd ever done.

Ain blinks before nodding a little. He cuts himself a slice before taking a bite. It was different from what he was used to but it wasn't bad, dull in flavor was his only complaint. "Hm... I never thought I'd enjoy human food..." he says after finishing his bite.

"You liked it?" J.D. asked, curiously. "Must be pretty good, for someone who isn't human to like it." He got himself a piece and took a little bite. It was kind of tough, but not that bad if you didn't think of what it was exactly you were eating. He swallowed reluctantly and then looked over at Ain. "Not that bad, I guess, but not particularly what I'm into." He chuckled a bit. "Trust me, most human food isn't like this."

Ain chuckles. "I believe you" he says as he goes to take another piece. "But yes I enjoyed it... A little more than I expected..."

After finishing a few more bites, J.D. Nudged the rest of the rabbit toward Ain. "You can finish it if you want. Or we can save it for later." Why did he feel guilty for killing a rabbit, of all things? Wouldn't have been the first thing he'd killed, but he didn't feel guilty any of those times. "Lost my appetite thinking about the poor thing."

Ain glances at him. "I don't need to eat in order to survive so I guess we'll save it for later" he says, his glass dagger/knife now fully disappearing. He didn't really feel anything for the rabbit, it was like nothing they had on Eloris but even still he didn't have really problem killing something. "Ah, I see" he says not deciding to press the male on, but it felt as though there was a lot he was going to learn about the other.

J.D. sighed a little and then stood up. "Maybe we should put out this fire and wander around a little? See if anyone else is here?" He nodded at Ain. "You have your magic, and I'm armed, so if there's a threat we shouldn't have a problem."

Ain nods. "Yes, it'd be interesting to see who else we can find" he says as he starts to stand, dusting himself off. "We have plently of light at the moment so we won't have to worry about that... And perhaps we can find supplies like bandages and such" he adds.

J.D. grinned. "Don't need to ask me twice," he commented playfully, watching Ain. In the span of a few minutes he put out the fire, and grabbed the remains of the rabbit, grimacing slightly and barely holding them, as if they were a bomb about to explode or something. He nodded to Ain. "You wanna lead the way?"
