Adam was walking through the trees, being followed by Nicole.
"Hey Shade, where are ya going? Are you going somewhere new? Are we gonna find others?!" Nicole asked, unable to control her excitment.
"Umhum. Amber, hush now..." Adam said softly, only answering the little kids last question. Nicole nodded her small head and ran farther ahead, and dissapeared behind a tree right before falling out from behind it.
...
Nicole had turned, wanting to go in that direction, but fell when something tripped her. "Oww..." she grumbled out of habit, then looked up and saw a girl with brown hair, and a boy up the tree.

Shiloh's gallop faded as Mikey jerked him to a stop. He slowly viewed the lifeless desert which he assumed to be miles away from any Afterlight civilizations. Mikey sighed in disappointment. Not only was he frustrated for ridding into the middle of nowhere, but he was hopelessly lost. Jumping off Shiloh in one quick movement, Mikey searched to horizon for any sort of navigation he could use to get back home.

I looked down in surprise when a girl landed on the ground nearby.
'What the...?' I thought. Turning back to Kiro, I held out a note.
'Ouch. That's sounds painful.'
I thought for a second, then scribbled something else down and held it out to the girl.
'Who are you?'
Peering at the girl, she looked cross. I turned to see if anyone was following her, and I thought I glimpsed a boy through the trees, but I wasn't sure.
