Emerald sighed. For my knowledge, once a gem has been infected by it, there's no way to remove it. But... Emerald reached for his limb enhancers and opened a small compartment in it. There is some way to prevent it from affecting a gem in the first place. He pulled out a small grey capsule, about the size of his hand. This thing is the reason I'm here right now, and not somewhere else... He held it out to Thulite, silently asking him to take it. Inside it is some formula that, when applied to a gem, will cover it with some protective coating that creates some barrier around the gem. The infection can't damage your gem if you cover it with this stuff. As he held the capsule out, he unintentionally revealed his own gem. He hadn't realized it, but the green crystal had been turning an even darker shade of black, albeit not as quickly as he thought it would, but still at a threatening speed.
