There was a sale on Sims 3 back in July
http://www.ea.com/uk/news/sims-3-game-a ... ale-now-on

You also could have gotten sims 2 free during that time

Sims 3 is going for $7 on amazon and yes, it is a version where you can have a family. The portable version for ipad really does not let you do families.

I think we should probably rename this thread to "The Sims". Just my input.

As for mods I can't live without, those would be twallan ones. I haven't ever tried awesomemod. Something put me off it when I originally started the sims 3 and never tried it.

I also cannot live without the entire sims 3 store content >.>

So I have been trying to fix my sister's Sims 3 game for her,
and it seem it will not make it past the "Maxis" intro before it closes itself.
I uninstalled all of her Custom Content.
Any tips?

Hi. I've been a Sims 3 Player for eh.. 2 years now? I've been through many computers though, and my computer isn't holding up so well... I can't play Sims on it anymore without the game and my laptop messing up. Ugh. ;-;

The only thing I can think of would be uninstalling and re installing the game :c Sucks that it's doing it.

That's about the only thing I can think of as well. It's a long process, but hopefully that will fix it for you. =<

This could be a magnitude of issues.
If you have tried installing it after uninstalling it and it still doesn't work:
    - It could be a scribing on the disk itself, some of the files being corrupted, which means you cannot fix that. EA is stubborn with this kind of thing and don't produce mods to fix even the little things that go wrong.
    - The disk itself is damaged.
    - If you have a copy of Origin to run it, there is a chance that Origin is interfering. It interferes with mine sometimes.
    - And lastly, the computer refuses to run it in the background because the disk drive is over-run when it does work, and therefore it refuses to play it anymore.
Of course, these are just guesses of what could be the reason behind it.
And it also gives me a reason to finally post here, so *Tosses confetti*

Hey guys, I have a all oof the sims 3 expansion and stuff packs (except late night and outdoor living stuff). I have university but it refuses to install, but all my other ones worked perfectly. It'll get to right at the end and then say there's an error and I've tried to install it 4 times now but it keeps coming up with the error. But my mum tried installing it on her game and it worked fine. Any ideas on how I can get it to install in my game??

Guys you don't HAVE to re-install.

http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/06/tu ... lling.html

Re-installing is silly when the only thing you need to do is just get a new game folder, and the game will generate one for you. I do this ALL the time, saves me a lot of hassle and fixes a lot of problems with custom content. You DO NOT have to re-install every single one of your sims games!
