my sister's keeper! just started it the other day and i'm only about 15% through but it's pretty good so far

i've only read one of her other books (and its much more recent than this one) but i think theres something about jodi picoult's writing style that makes it so easy to really get immersed in the story/visualize it, which is great because i'm trying to get back into reading this year and its so hard :( my attention span is so short and all the plot details go poof in minutes !!!

Been wanting to see the adaptation, but decided to wait and instead read the book first, as I usually do with movie/series adaptations. And it's so good so far! Haven't had a book make me laugh this much in so long, such a nice change

I've read it and seen the amazon movie. As usual, the two don't match 100%. The main annoyance I have is they got rid of a fairly important character, but then took the same character and mashed it into a Frankenstein character not in the book. (I'm not saying who so I won't ruin the movie. Also that sounds really weird, but it'll make sense when you see the movie.)

I personally like the story. I use audible to read things and I usually play this book at least twice a month (and that's lowballing).

today im starting a memory called empire by arkady martine!

i've been suggested it a few times because i looove space operas, so i'm giving it a go to make sure i like it enough to take on vacation :'D

since i last posted here i've read the first four murderbot diaries books, by martha wells:
1. all systems red
2. artificial condition
3. rogue protocol
4. exit strategy

and i really like them! incredibly easy reading because every book is essentially "oh no a bad thing" "nvm im awesome so of course i was fine" with some feelings mixed in- i don't dislike them and i'll absolutely carry on and start network effect soon, but they're very easy and almost too short :') im not a novellas kinda critter, so im looking forward to network effect being a bit more chonky.

Wolf by albert payson terhune. I lost it for a couple weeks and found it recently, So i getta pick it up again.

It's fun to read about the antics of various collies, and I enjoy the way that the stories are narrated.
