This show is messing me up rn I haven't actually cried over a show before

Honestly, I really liked the book, and I also really liked the show. But truthfully, I would have no idea what was going on if Clay didn't fall off his bike and get that mark on his head because I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between flashback and real time. Also, I didn't really cry while watching the show until the last few episode )): + I really dislike Bryce's character.

Honestly, I really liked the book, and I also really liked the show. The bandage/cut was my savior in that show honestly, I think that's why they added that part in. What made me cry was when Hannah pushed Clay away at the party. Because they could have been happy together, but, obviously, Hannah was gone. And really that whole episode, with Clay's tape was hard for me to watch.

And yes, Bryce was by far the worst character next to Tyler.

I noticed that the actual color of the scenes changed during flashbacks. The warmer colors popped in the flashbacks. Meanwhile, the present has a harsh feel, cooler colors stick out more. The present feels cold, while the past feels warm. Maybe because Hannah was alive in the past, and the present she's gone? During Clay's tape, when he begins talking to her in his head, the scene takes on the cold harshness of the present

Have you read the book? It ends like that too, somewhat. Clay reaches out to Skye after realizing that she was going through crap too. You don't find out what is going on with Skye. Honestly, I like that. There is potential for a second season, but leaving it this way could also leave another message; the uncertainty of life. You don't know what's going to happen next, and with how deep this series goes, into how people think and why/how they do things and the effects of those things, I'd be fine if there was no second season.
Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to see a second season. But one season is fine. It's done what the author of the book intended. Stir the pot and get discussion going on the various issues discussed in the book. Just today, my Spanish IV teacher was talking with the class about it. She likes that it deals with these things openly, and she sees no problem about language usage because, " ...I know you guys don't use pretty language." I like this show's honesty about the problems it portrays. This show has only been out for a few weeks, I'm waiting to see how far this discussion goes about it and what it shows.
