i feel as if it goes too fast and i wish they would've just made more movies. i'm gonna give it another try though because i miss the world of the shadowhunters.

I read it, and I just... had to like, set down the book to catch my breath.

Another one I really like is from Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy, and it's when Magnus says to Alec, "I don't want to get married until we can get married in gold." (Or something along those lines, I can't find the exact quote.) Aaahhh <3

Wow I've been gone, like forever. However, I have been keeping up on the show... 2x18/City of Glass SPOILERS!! When Sebastian attacked Max in the book, he died pretty much instantly. But in the show, they decided to keep him alive. While I am definitely happy that the characters don't have to go through the trauma that is losing him, I am also disappointed about that very same aspect. And I don't mean to demean his death or anything, but it provided for excellent character development and propelled everything we see in the books today. Besides, it adds onto that "untouchable main characters" trope. Thoughts?

I also like that they kept him alive but I feel like they did that because Jocelyn died in the show and not in the books and they kinda switched the two or something? The one thing I did not like about the show was that they killed off Jocelyn.

Yeah, that makes sense; I never thought about the two kind of switching roles. And I wasn't happy about Jocelyn's death, either. It didn't make much sense sithijn the story to me and I am sad we will not be able to see the way she and Luke would have interacted were they allowed to be in a proper relationship. I really hope they bring her back, but I honestly don't see how they could do so in context.

I'm kind of disappointed with the show's direction in general. It's not staying true to the books (but then again, what show does :I) which I'm annoyed with. Also, Ollie is really hecking annoying and has no reason to be there at all.

After rewatching some of the episodes, I feel like Jocelyn's death brought Alec and Magnus closer together since Magnus was there to comfort him while Alec was struggling. Also when Alec was hallucinating and almost jumps off the building, his depression is also linked to real-life problems. I'm not happy about her death obviously, but it also brought up important topics in the rest of the show
