How to center images

Hey there! I'm planing to make a little art thread on CS, and I thought it would be nice to make myself a banner and everything -the only problem is, whenever I post a picture with the URL BBcode it's bound to the left site. I however would like it to be centered. encasing it with the center command brackets doesn't seem to do anything for me, is there a way to get it to work?
