Pound lag getting worse?

I don't even bother trying anymore, it doesn't even load for me at this point :(

I pretty much removed myself from pound pings, the frustration has got me pretty bad ngl
(This is coming from someone who has really bad anger issues, especially when it comes to video games. Sometimes you do what you gotta do mental health wise)

Thinking about adding a parental lock/or something to block the page (on my phone and computer) so I can't access the pound page

I think its just due to the event yeah?

I never have issues during non event times with lag (besides maybe new pets day).

There's been lag even off events, and the site actually crashed on 2023-04-28


Edit; also wanted to mention the house has extremely fast internet, and I use a brand-new gaming laptop with high processor, so it's not a user issue; but a site issue

i was there at 3 seconds and refreshed to be greeted with lag and only 400 pets left

Oh well tonight for a change the pound didn't lag for me except it never loaded the pets pictures

I blindly grabbed something that was on my wishlist.

TBH I like this concept. Remove the dates and we're even better


(On a more serious note, this is probably why a handful of users are seemingly not affected by all the lagging. If you don't have pictures to display, the page loads waaaaaaaaay faster. And this does not require coding knowledge)

The event definitely doesn't help, but I can't say I've ever seen lag this bad during an event before in all my years on here, and that was during some events with more users online than this
like I've seen it lag less during Dec 18, and that's saying something because everyone who forgot their account (and still has one) comes back out of the woodwork and remembers this game for Dec 18th (myself included for some years lol) 🤣

If I go by my earlier attempts I'd vote on the last one.

Today there was lag. It stalled at the 1 second and I had to F5 in rapid succession to get the page to open and then click adopt about 3 to 4 times to get the "sorry you've already adopted a pet from the pound" message that alerted me to my success.

So yeah it lagged this time but not so bad that I was shut out. But had I been on mobile, this likely would be a different outcome.

It is absolutely getting worse, which I find super odd since CS is so much smaller then it used to be and I don't remember it being this bad...

I wouldn't mind pound lag if all the pets weren't snatched up immediately? Imo it is absolutely ridiculous that there are consistently ~1.5k people online for a pound opening but they only fill it up to around 1200-1300 every time. Why create an artificial scarcity like this?? There is no reason to make the lag problem worse by requiring thousands of people to refresh the page at the same time if they even want a chance of getting a pet. The new update helps but not nearly enough imo, the difference between opening and 30 seconds into opening means nothing if people can't even get the page to load.

I've already brought up my suggestions, but it boils down to either change the structure of the pound opening to staying open longer but dropping new pets into the adoptions folder every 5 minutes to have a longer opening or to increase the opening frequency so it opens on an every 3 hour basis than 6 to 12 hours.
