{What is an ID pet?}
ID pets are the pets here on chicken smoothie with a pet ID identical to your user ID! It's like a surprise, you have no idea what the pet is until you look! It's certainly a big thing on some of the other sites I used to dwell on...
{What are SIMILAR ID pets?}
Similar ID pets are just like ID pets, but not exact. They're technically the ID pets of those who are unobtainable, deleted, etc. You find similar ID pets by changing numbers, like duplcating, adding numbers, or other methods.
Let me show an example, using my own ID.
348933
Now, to change it, I could try these:
348933348933- Repeating. This is often a long shot, older members should try it. (Shorter user IDs)
348934- Adding one to the last number.
348932- Subtracting one from the last number.
3489333- End dupliction. Copy the last number.
3348933- Beginning duplication. Copy the first number.
{How can I find my ID pet?}
It's pretty simple. Just go to your profile page (NOT the "my pets screen. The page with options like "trade with this user, PM this user, etc), and look up at the address bar. The last set of numbers is your user ID! Now go to any of your pets' pages, and look at the address bar. Replace the ending set of numbers with your user ID! It would be easiest to copy/paste. Now just enter, and you've found your ID pet!

If you get a screen saying this, it means your pet has probably been deleted. :(
{How can I get my ID pet?}
Well, hopefully it belongs to an active user who is willing to trade. A good bet at getting them is to offer a trade for an identical pet, plus a bit of intrest, like a wishlist pet. PMing the user first is normally better. But remember, don't pester them for it! If they say no, it's no. Respect that.
{What is Backwards ID Gifting?}
Backwards ID gifting is a fun, surprise way to gift an unsuspecting stranger who may not even know about ID pets!
To do it, you go to any low-ID pet you have. Then copy the ID in the URL and go to your user profile. (The page with send this user a PM, trade with this user, etc) Go up to the address bar and paste in the pet's ID over the your own ID. Hit enter. This will take you to another user's page, you should check to see if they're active. If they are, gift them the pet! You may want to link them back to this thread or explain the concept of ID pets.
