I'm really interested in this at the moment, so this is a very expansive question, hahaha:
War.
What do you think of it? Do you think you'd fight if it was needed, or do you reckon you'd go bush? Is there anything war-related that's really struck/touched/moved you? Have you been to any war sites? Experienced any war-y stuff? Know anyone in an army? Know anyone who lived during WWII? What about have you ever drawn/written/seen anything war/battlefield-ish? Any important wars in your history that you care about, personally or not?
Sorry, this is quite long haha; I'm just really interested in wars right now ;p

I recently took a really interesting class by the American journalist Kevin Sites whilst studying in Hong Kong; it was about pursuing the truth of killing in war (nature or nurture argument) - if you're interested in that topic, his website and youtube videos are outstanding and his books are a brilliant look into the topic. I'd really recommend it - it was a total privilege to study under him.

But, getting to your question more directly; I know that I'd be prepared to kill if the lives of those I love were threatened. By extension, I think it's reasonable to calculate that I'd be prepared to participate in war - but I don't think I could enlist in the army/navy/airforce as a career choice. It would have to be because I was fighting for something I really believed in being threatened - and not just in another country. Call me selfish; but I think there's a line in interfering in policies abroad. For one, it demonstrates a distinct lack of respect for the authority and people of that country (not that it's that clear cut or straightforward, of course). My grandparents on my mothers side lived in South Africa during the apartheid; the women were black and lived on one side, the men had Dutch ancestry and lived on the other. I'd fight for an injustice like that.

I have a number of childhood friends and relatives who are enlisted in the British army at the moment, one of whom is a helicopter pilot, and another who is going through Phase II training. I completely respect their decision to enlist; part of their training took them to a Belgium burial ground for soldiers. Death is something they're really made to consider and the repercussions of killing are increasingly becoming a topic of recognition.

I went to the premier of the Hobbit in London waaaaaaay back, and we managed to stay until the end and get one of the posters they hang off the barriers. It's so long it takes up the entire wall of my bedroom, but I have Martin Freeman's adorable face there so 8D

Why did you want to join the CS team?

I enjoyed my time as a General Helper quite a lot and wanted to continue giving more back to the site. This site has been like my second home for many years so it's an honor to do anything to help out the place I love!

to anyone that's made a staff/GH pet before:
-Is it frustrating to see your outcome being assigned to someone else and have a lot of people cross it off as "figured out"?
I've always wondered how it must feel for the staff when their reading all of our silly speculations in the discussion threads!

League of Legends is a big one, I don't play a lot, but it's one I always seem to go back to. I also frequently visit flight rising,
mostly just collecting pretty dragons for my lair.

Can't eat much ice cream these days, but I really like chocolate mint and strawberry!

I've recently started collecting rubber straps and cute charms of characters from my favorite fandoms, but I also have books and figures from my favorite fandoms as well.

I used to play petz when I was younger, I actually just got back into it recently, though I'm not entirely familiar with the community and hexing.

what is your favorite drawing/painting program? i.e paint tool sai, photoshop, etc

I use paintool sai for most of my digital work these days, though I've used photoshop in the past and will use it from time to time for image editing.

I have honestly only ever been to one camp, and it was when I was an adult (it was over spring break lol). But this summer I'm going to be competing at the National Poetry Slam so I'll be traveling for that!

I'm an all purpose accounting and administrative assistant, aka spreadsheet wrangler (and customer service professional... whatever else they might want to tell me to do on any given day) for a large food service company on a college campus.
