I believe it's slightly unfair to you rarity-wise, since '14 store pets are worth mid '09 rares, not late '09 rares. It also depends on how much you value the uncommon and commons - they don't have any set values but it may help if you consider the years of them! c:

Demand-wise, I believe it's quite unfair as horses don't have good demand and they're wanting a dog in return. Sure, there's an uncommon dog but it's mainly the rare horse that you should focus on. :c

Are 98 Summer event items worth C$182?
I always valued recent items at about 0.5C$ each.
Am I wrong or is this user just asking for too much?
I pretty much missed the entire even so I'm not sure which items
were released for free or for token trade ins.

Woah... I reckon this user is asking for too much - I personally value any recent items at 0.5-1 C$.

rarity wise it's fair as the snowflake scarf dog is worth 3-4 '09 rares. demand is up to you and your partner, but i think you could get a better deal with the german sheperd (:

technically about fair as the spider is worth anearly '09 rare and so is a '12 store pet. the cheshire tends to go for a mid advent though... (:
