From what i can read this new poll thing started barely 2 weeks ago, thats not really a lot of afk time considering how this thread stales for months at a time usually.

I havent read much of the conversation. Not only because of work, but yeah irl things. what has been decided and what needs to be edited? Please give a detailed describtion of the poll options so its all the way you guys intended it. How many days, options on changing title etc. I dont want to get.complaints about wording again uvu

For the most part, we wanted to rerun the poll with links or info mentioned to my understanding. I think it would HEAVILY benefit to make one post with a small mass of trades supporting each of these tiers while explaining we don’t want to ignore the poll (as people are upset with us ‘ignoring’ the majority vote)

I’m thinking we want there to be Non-New tier-Ur Holly and possibly have (refer to pg — so people can see for themselves and have their opinion) and then the I don’t want to vote option; tho I don’t see the point in uncounted votes

Assuming that by "uncounted votes" you mean Sol's "I like polls" options

That option is good so that people don't feel pressured to choose an option they may be shaky on or that they don't feel strongly about etc. Almost like a pseudo-"I don't know enough" option. That might not be what Sol intended but that's how I saw it

Going off of my memory, this is what happened with discussion since the current poll was first put up all that time ago, in rough chronological order from first to last:

trade evidence posted in here originally showed a lot of support for one of the higher options, not UR holly

found a lot of trade evidence also pointing towards UR holly, including trades from before the peach discussion happened

worries about people voting for the lowest option in poll to get it cheaper, outweighing those who actually own a peach (because OMGSR) who might've voted higher to get more for it

worries about people voting with no ulterior motive but just not knowing better, especially because current poll gives no reasons for the tiers and we suspect just putting "see page x" in title doesn't work well enough

poll modification suggested: add reasons to poll options

argument: listen to majority? what if majority is uneducated? should an uneducated mass drive decisions? leave the decisions to the educated--but who determines who is educated? already a problem brought up in the previous giant discussion 1.5 years ago as well as throughout the past many years; may as well listen to community because we don't want an elite group again--but just how much of the community actually have an educated opinion? rinse and repeat...

new poll proposed with wider range of options, including really unrealistic options, to weed out "uneducated" and "greedy" (on both ends) people, for lack of better wording (imagine I'm a robot plz)

new poll proposed with fewer options, including the option of a new tier, which the people who were posting seemed to like due to the amount of time that this discussion seemed to drag on (basically "may as well compromise the two sides by placing it there and being done with it")

Yeah. I mentioned a while back that once the poll is agreed upon if we can make on giant post of the compiled trades for non tier and holly, and hopefully place it at the TOP of a page? Then that makes it easier for people to see.

I’m also hoping to be able to get the wording right with some explanation of why each tier is being put up for the poll. Simple stuff, tho. ‘Sufficient trade evidence’ ‘middle ground’ that kind of stuff?

I’m very interested in grouping a post for people to refer to when voting! I’d love to include both supporting trades and some pointing both higher and Lower (as it’s only fair). There’s been quite a few posted here already, it’d just be organizing them and labeling ^^

As for the person in charge of the poll, I have no complains as long as the person is willing to consider the best way for this poll to run for the community. Having the three main placement choices and a not sure choice (or, I’d like to see it placed, but I’m not sure where) sounds like our solid place to start. I think we didn’t want to rerun a bigger poll in fear of it being placed lower due to a year of bad demand rep right? Or we at least don’t want it below the gap

Honestly it isn’t just on the one person running the thread to consider what’s best for the community. It’s everyone putting input on the thread and the community itself. Whoever owns the first post of the thread really just will be the one putting up the poll and etc etc.

So in saying that, I would like to get the ball rolling again on the poll talk. Get more input on the choices we want to go with.

I’ve been in favor of something similar to this from input I’ve seen:

Non tier (based on trade evidence and taking into consideration rarity)
New tier between non and holly (middle ground between two tiers, gap is a xxx between tiers)
Holly tier (based on trade evidence)
I don’t know but I wanted to vote/see results.

I forget the gap that would be between the two lol, or if we should add something more to holly tier description? And we need to have it so options can be changed as opinions change.

Definitely would like others to add in better wording/wording for the question for the poll itself.

That’s why i brought up the mass post again, so it’ll be more along the lines of ‘refer to pg __’
We do want it placed tho... after all this I think everyone is ready to slap this thing on a tier ya know? XD

I suggested the gap be a red toxic (2 sorbets + red toxic value), making it worth more than an UR Holly by a balloon dog while not keeping it super close either tier in value right? Either way we can figure it out better a bit later if the option actually does win

I think no explanations should be needed, or if they exist they should be on the information page that links all the trades showing for non/holly and above/below.

I also would like to throw out the idea that its a one vote per a person, to avoid bandwagon/sheep following. You can't see results until you vote. So everyone will vote their honest opinion first before seeing what everyone else did.
