Maybe Minimanta can help you as she stores her pets in rarity groups and spends a lot of time each month moving them around when the new raritys come out.

I could be wrong but I thought Mar 10 was the first month that the raritys did change. It was like the rarity rating was changed from a manual process to an automated process that could be run monthly.

I'm quite positive it was early '10?
I joined in '09 and I don't remember there being rarities. There definitely weren't any rarities before August 09. Not sure about after though.

Well, the first 'Recent rarity changes' thread is from March '10 so we've had rarities for some time before that^^ But I just don't remember when we got rarities...


But anyway, this list on the first thread shows many of the pets you're unsure about so they have been rare at least since April '10 since the last time that post was edited was April 2 '10^^ But when exactly they changed I don't know.

I joined in '09 and I don't remember there being rarities. There definitely weren't any rarities before August 09. Not sure about after though.

I seem to recall it being sometime after Halloween '09. I'm positive it was either late '09 or very early 2010, because I remember my Dark Wood dog, which was Uncommon when I'd gotten it, was rare by the time I traded him for a still-growing rerelease.

The pets that I have uncategorized turned in March 2010 or ealier. Because the thread started in March, people were just posting all the dogs that had changed "recently." Rarity changes after March were much simpler to track because I could just look at the dates on the posts.

I remember things like the Fireworks PPS turned rare later than the Strawberry PPS, and the Green-Nosed Rainbow Leopard went a month before the Dark Blue Leopard dog. I have a feeling the Green-Nosed turned in January, along with maybe the Purple Splattered Colors dog and the Leopard Malk Horse. But those I could be remembering wrong.

I don't think the Wood Angel's rarity was ever rare. I remember when we first got the meter, it went straight up to VR.

Yeah I can't personally vouch for the Wood Angel, I don't remember it being Rare. I was just told that.

And crap, I just realized the Growing Vday '09 Malk Dog and Vday '09 Malk Cat aren't on the list. *headdesk* When did those change? And was the Vday Malk Horse always Rare, or did that change at some point as well?

Yeah, but those names are just going to confuse people. I'm going with how a pet will most easily be identified, plus there's a link to their image so it's inconsequential.
