Alrighty so "soy" is a verb form of "ser" and "estoy" a verb form of "estar"
I leaned that:
Ser: something that is permant or lasting attributes
Descriptions: essential qualities that won't change anytime soon; name, physical descriptions, nationalities, and religions
Occupations: someone does for a living or a hobby; how someone makes money or fills there time
Characteristics: personality descriptions
Time: days, dates, years, and time on the clock
Origin: place where something or person is from or material something is made up of
Relationships: family ties, friendship, romantic relationships( novio(a) = bf/gf)
Estar: indicate temporary states and location
Position: physical position or posture that a person or thing is in
Location: describe where something is permanently, temporarily, or conceptually(party or event = ser)
Action: ongoing actions, followed by a present participle or past participle (dead is ongoing action)
Condition: physical and mental conditions; varying over several days, hours, or even years
Emotion: how a person is feeling at a certain moment
I hope this helps! Oh p.s. remember ser as "doctor" and estar as "place"
