Prompt:nova sighed as he looked in the mirror. he quickly splashed his face with some water and started to get dressed after a long day of lounging around in bed.
"valentine's day. it's all good," he reassured himself, mumbling. he didn't care much for romance, so it kind of seemed like a stupid day anyway.
nova took one last glance at himself in the mirror, adjusting his jewelry and making sure his legwarmers were snug. despite the anxious thoughts swirling around in his mind, he was determined to step out of his comfort zone tonight.
with a deep breath, he stepped out into the cool night air, and the thumping bass in the distance almost seemed to call him. as he approached the entrance to the warehouse, his heart was absolutely pounding with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. being surrounded by strangers in a crowded environment wasn't exactly his cup of tea, but he pressed on.
the music inside washed over him with a wave of electricity. there were tons of plate dragons here, both couples, groups of friends, and other plate dragons that had come alone. each one was lost in their own worlds of rhythm and movement, with bright lights pulsating around the entire room.
nova plunged himself into the crowd, doing his best to let the music guide him. at this point, he was completely on autopilot, as his anxiety was paralyzing him internally. but even on the brink of a panic attack, he followed along to the beat and felt a
surge of energy and warmth coursing through him.
the collective movement and passion of the crowd calmed him, and he started to find a place of belonging, embracing the connection he shared with all those around him. he danced til he could barely walk, and as the night came to an end, he couldn't help but smile. this had been the best valentine's day he had ever had... though, maybe next time he would try actually talking to people ;)
