cheerful. genevieve is most often described as "cheerful,"
be that her mood, her general personality, or even the way
she looks. wherever she goes, someone is most definitely
going to comment on her "cheerful attitude"

people-pleaser. genevieve is a people-pleaser, through and
through. when she isnt trying to make niceties with everyone,
she's thinking of ways to improve relationships and her methods.
she takes into account every detail about someone and reacts
accordingly, which makes her very efficient at her "job."

empathetic. genevieve is very empathetic. she kind of has
to be; it's all part of the "job description." as both a mediator and
a friend, she wears her bleeding heart on her sleeve and does so
proudly.

soft-spoken. despite all her highly-opinionated thoughts,
genevieve is actually rather soft-spoken. in the company of her
trusted confidants and closest friends, she is rarely to talk of any
of her opinions except when asked, and even then she glosses over
them very quickly.

shy. despite being mainly extroverted, genevieve is also
very shy. she usually shies away from attention and the spotlight,
and emphasizes others accomplishments to take away from her
own. she downplays a lot of what she does, even if she's confident
in her abilities, because she's afraid of seeming like she loves the
attention (even though she kind of does).

her crush and make her move. if all went well, then.. well,
things went well and could only get better from there!
doubt lingered in the dark corners of her mind, saying this
would no doubt end in tragedy and heartbreak, but she was
an optimist, and as someone who always tried to look on the
bright side of things, she had little trouble doing so for this.
she could do this, she just had to be slow about it. she had to
take it slow, do it right, and everything would be fine.
after waiting almost an hour, she finally saw the person she'd
been looking for.
they weretalking with some friends it seemed, but even though
it seemed so platonic, she grew worried as she got closer and
closer.
when she got close enough to hear the conversation, her heart
stopped. snippets were all she could catch, but it hurt all the
same.
"i got you this -- it's valentine's day so i just thought -- i got
them for--." they seemed to ring in her ears no matter what
she did, and it only made her feel worse.
all this, and her crush already had a valentine. the fancy cake
she had made nearly fell out of her hands because she had
gotten so lost in thought, but she fell into a stupor again when
she heard her crush and their valentine talking again.
she had to go. right now.
quickly, she turned on her heels and prepared to leave, ears flat
and eyes watery. it was embarrassing, but she was allowed to be
upset, wasnt she?
just as she was about to leave, she swore she heard someone call
out to her. it must have been her imagination though.
yet, she heard it again, just now, not even a second later. upon
turning around, she saw her crush waving at her, presumably to
get her attention.
"dont go yet! come over will you?" they asked, and she obliged,
realizing she may have misunderstood once she got closer and
it certainly didnt seem like the mysterious valentine was here
for the same reason she was.
well, things could only get better from here, right?
