She loves the ocean. The sand feels warm and nice underneath her paws whenever she goes running along the beach. The cool tide washing up and leaving little mussels in its wake is comforting to her.
And the sunsets. Oh, lord, the sunsets. The rays of orange and pink light bouncing off of the water, the cool wind brushing her fur as she looks to the line where the sea and sky meet. It's so gorgeous.
One of her favorite activities to do at the beach is run. She likes to run, but at the beach, especially when its empty, it's so much more fun. One thing that annoys her, though, is when a rock is hiding in the sand, and she trips over it or steps on it and it hurts. It's usually not bad, but it annoys her all the same.
Another thing she likes to do is stand and let the waves wash over her, sometimes pushing her over. It's just fun. She doesn't really do it for any reason other than that.

Yes, and no. It is difficult to love oneself, and he would have himself think that the ocean was a piece of him that which could never be damaged, never be truly hurt. There's jealousy in each crash of the wave, each current that takes the sea turtles to their breeding grounds, and each fish that swims by can play mockery on his heart like an ancient sailing song. The ocean is invincible, powerful, a force that gives and takes in near equal measure; and he is jealous. Jealousy stems from loving too much, from being afraid that one day he will loose the ocean and its waves: afraid that he will loose himself, and to what he does not know. Life is what ifs and maybes, and the ocean is a haven that crashes over his body and makes him feel whole. So, yes, of course he loves the ocean, but as the ocean in equal parts takes and gives, he too, in equal parts, hates and loves the ocean.
Of course, be wary gentle drifter, the ocean is a beast no one can claim, not even mighty the Poseidon himself.

XXXXMuirín was born into a family off the coast of Ireland. She adored the smell of
the breeze that would fill her lungs everyday from dawn to dusk. Every morning she
and her mother would walk along the shoreline, collecting seashells. In her room she
kept many of them in a drawer, each having a special home in her heart.
XXXXWhen her mother past away, she discontinued the daily ritual, grieving the loss
of her mother. It took years before she was finally able to see the shells once again,
admiring the time worn treasures in her treasure trove. She took a deep breath in
and left the confines of her home, exiting once again to the familiar scent which
she once dreaded.
XXXXShe took a deep breath in, closing her eyes as she began to call to the ocean.

Kai loves the ocean because of her hobby, oyster shell collecting! Kai usually goes for a swim to collect perfect oyster shells, then sells them for a small amount of money to restaurants that want to use them for food display, or other shops. If the oyster shells are not sold in time, they are made into shiny jewelry or used in cosmetics. Kai also makes scarves with oyster shells, and various other items of clothing. In her spare time, Kai likes to play around on her computer or sing small songs.

Mariah adores the ocean with a passion. She loves the salty sea spray and the cry's of seagulls above. She adores the waves and soothing noises, and frequently goes boating with friends.

She lives in a little cottage by the ocean and loves to listen to the soothing sounds of waves crashing onto beach rocks.

The true reason she's like this is once when she was much smaller, her father took her out to the beach for a swim. While she was swimming, she started drowning and splashing in the water frantically. Though, before her father noticed his daughter was begging for help, the water seemed to come to her rescue. She found out if she was still enough, the water would carry her to the top like a buoy, and then all she'd have to do was scream for help. She felt as if the water was on her side that day, keeping her afloat and allowing her to summon the help she needed. She was even drifting closer to shore as she floated along.

To this day, Mariah silently praises the ocean by taking care of it the best she can, and stopping other people from littering or dumping their food and drinks into the water, unless the drink itself is water. She is very protective over her beloved ocean and cannot stand if somebody dares to harm it.

Calypso loves the ocean. It was her only companion from when she was wrongly imprisoned for being the innocent daughter of a Titan. Every night, she would sleep out under the stars, and the ocean would sing her to sleep. It entertained her, and brought her shells and fabric to create wonderful masterpieces of thread and sea. She based her creations on the ocean, in return for its companionship and care. When she was rescued, she promised to always keep a piece of the ocean with her, to always remember it. She carries a necklace of a small pendant with a small shell, water, and sand around her neck at all times.
