Where in the rules does it say this? I've never seen anything in AJ's rules about trading for art, and this thread doesn't have any rules against it either. I should know, I wrote them.

i think they might mean that it's still an outside of aj purchase. like trading an item in game for something out of game. betas for art, spikes for money, ect. i do art for items too, and ive never gotten a problem with that, so idk.

As far as I know, AJHQ doesn't care about offsite trades. They consider it to be one of those "you're on your own" things. If you get scammed or something, it's a risk you took, so they won't help you. It's other sites that have banned trading with AJ, not the other way around.

But here, I'll go ahead and ask AJHQ themselves. That should settle this.

No, but that's actually a really good idea.
I've been playing AJ since it came out, and so even though I have no interest in trading I do have a few rare items that people are constantly bugging me about. D:

All they did was give me an automated message basically saying to read the rules and blah blah blah. I read through it all again, and nowhere did I see anything about trading AJ items for art being against the rules.

Honestly, considering that so many people make art for AJ items, I'm sure if AJHQ didn't want people to do it, they would have made an announcement on their YouTube or Instagram and probably updated their rules. That being said, I see nothing wrong with making art for items, and unless AJHQ themselves states otherwise, I wouldn't worry about people telling you it's not allowed.

Personally I think its the choice of the players if they want to trade items for art? People already trade items for masterpieces, which is basically art. I think doing offsite trades for art would be considered fine.
