Tutorial: How to do a drop letter

What is a drop letter?
A drop letter is when a Letter has... Dropped below the normal line it should be on, normally because it is a larger letter. You often see these in Magazines or at the beginning of a news article. However for those who don't know what one is, I have created an example below.

So how do you do this? You might be surprised, but it is really easy.

Step 1: Get your images.
For this example, I got mine from here. To get your images, scroll down to the bottom of the page of the font you desire to use and start with typing in the bar on the site the first letter of the word that you intend to use. For me, this is the letter T.
    Image

Next, get the second part of that quote you wish to be along the top line of your column. For my example, I decided to use capital letters for the whole quote because for me it worked better, but do whatever you feel is right.
    Image

Step 2: Putting it together
Once you have your images, it is time to put them together! To do this, get the URL of the single letter image by right clicking on it and selecting 'Copy Image Address' and pasting it into the post like so:
    Image
Once you have done this, put a command around the image, like so.
    Image
        Code: Select all

Next, add the second half of the quote beside the text with a left command around it as well. This is similar to the Hug Left technique found here

    Image
    Image

        Code: Select all

[img]URL of Single Letter[img]URL of Rest of Quote

    And that is it!
Step 3: Adding text underneath the sentence. (Optional)
If you want to add more to the second column, all you need to do is make a new row and add some text there.

Note Your First Letter Image Must be Long enough to fit another text column or this will not work!

Note: Blue stands for the single letter, Green stands for the rest of the quote and Purple stands for the text underneath
Your code should look like this:

[img]URL of Single Letter[img]URL of Rest of Quote
    Text Text Text Text

By filling that in, your code should turn out like this
    Image
    Image
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬(HAS TEETH)▬▬▬▬▬

    Code: Select all

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬(HAS TEETH)▬▬▬▬▬

okay, so...
i have no idea how to make a gif into a circle without turning it into a regular picture.
i'm trying to turn this into a circle, as you can see in my avatar. BUT the only problem is that it didn't remain a gif...
i used lunapic for this, but does anyone know another website that i can use that will make it remain a gif?
any and all help is appreciated! thanks in advance.

I use OIE, Online Image Editor. The one problem with that is that the image may glitch, so I upload with another site, like Imgur.
I hope this helps!

OIE all they way! Be sure to select the cut out shapes option and use the numbers to navigate to the circle.
