Changing Fates
|Changing Fates| Hi. I'm revamping my comic here, so welcome. Welcome to my new comic! Not much at the moment, but I have a storyline and I need practice in drawing humans/humanoids (and pretty much EVERYTHING else) so here goes! I can't give a preview yet... that would give away the story! If this gets any readers AT ALL, then I'll make some stamps and stuff to support it. Comments are read and very much appreciated; if you have tips and advice, critique or anything at all, don't be afraid to post! Since I'm a beginner, the pages will take an absolute AGE to make and I'll only update if I have the time. |

S A L T W A T E R - Hybrid Comic
A 15-year old, two horses, three friends, and a wild legend nobody could have predicted to come true. Doesn't it sound like a recipe for disaster that could never happen? Apparently it can, as evidenced by young Azalea, known as Z to her friends. When she is randomly given a clue to her horse's true identity in the middle of a choir trip, it's only the beginning of a wild and strange journey nobody could predict....
S A L T W A T E R Pages 1 Characters WIP How this works I call this a hybrid comic because it won't have paneling or drawn-in text. Instead it will have a cover-page illustration followed by a long written chapter. I expect this to get to anywhere between a dozen and thirty chapters, depending on how long the chapters are and how the story wraps up. I don't have any plans for the story beyond the first few chapters, so I'm kinda going to be rolling with it and maybe even doing polls to see what you all want to happen next! This comic is going to be oriented for both y'all and me, so I will make compromises! As well, I'm probably going to be leaving self-deprecating author's notes at the ends of each chapter in my usual satirical personal narrative style, so be prepared - this story is going to be an adventure! If this gets popular, I may do an ask topic to better develop the characters. Enjoy! Updates Sorry to say, my life is ridiculously busy, even in the summer. I can't give a solid update time, however, you can feel free to gently PM me and remind me that this hybrid is now my big project. Path Of Fire
Note: I'm creating a new comic, so I'm stopping all but a few.
Long ago, the home of the Jewel Cats was first at a plain, made up entirely of rocks and pieces of crystals sticking up. But a sudden quake had ripped through that serene place. Now, it is nothing but ruins. Most cats of the Jewel Tribe went to the Crystal Mountain using a safe underground route. However, one cat decided to find another home, in a Clan, not a tribe. Until now. A hundred years later, Crystal, a descendent of that cat that found a Clan home, has a dream. Her dream foretells the downfall of the Jewel Cats and the rise of a new group of cats, a sworn enemy, that can be stopped, one unknown way. Crystal and her friends must follow the Path of Fire, a dangerous path that leads to the main entrance to the Jewel Tribe to warn them of the oncoming danger. Yet, who to trust, in times like these? Prologue: 1~2 Chapter 1: Support

The Hidden by Thorn Day by day, humans go about their normal lives worry-free. All they know is their lives and the way they live. One dimension, one intelligent species, one life. Thriving in the sciences, the humans do not know magic anymore, for they claim to have 'evolved'. In ancient times, humans were the best at magic, spiritual secrets, and knowledge. They were who the spirits communicated with the most often. Now, so few believers remain in this 'evolved' society that the spirits focused more on a less 'evolved' species. Canis lupus and Felis catus. Plot An ancient prophecy, one over 2,000 years old has suddenly began to take effect. "Darkness will one day come when man is no longer prophet. It will destroy all light left in the world, and only the marked soul can save the earth." The prophecy stated that an evil force, Darkness, will take over, destroying peace and all things good, striving to destroy the Great Spirits. This will occur when the humans of the world have forgotten the importance of theie ancestor spirits, and the power of magic, called Thera. Only the chosen soul, or The Marked, will stand up and defeat this evil with the full power of the Great Spirits together. The Darkness seeks to destroy the human race and the other Great Spirits. If he were to succeed in killing one of the Great Spirits, the balance of magic, life, light, and dark will be distorted, causing chaos to erupt. The dead will rise, the living will fall. The earth will become a wasteland to all who survive, and a paradise to all things dark. The Great Spirits Lux (Light) - The spirit of light, the "king" or ruler of all spirits Vita (Life) - The spirit of life, the "queen" or ruler of all spirits under Lux Terra (Earth) - The spirit of earth and all living beings created on earth. can be contacted at a deserted temple on the top of the highest mountain Caelum (Sky) - The spirit of the sky and all things belonging to the sky, of all things that take flight or reside in the sky. Can be found in the clouds among the steepest cliffs. Ignis (Fire) - The spirit of fire and all things burning, or aflame. Can be found residing in any active or dormant volcano. Mare (Sea) - The spirit of the seas and all things who take residence in water. Can be found in the bottom of the deepest lake. Ventus (Wind) - The spirit of wind and weather, known as the wisest spirit known. Can be found in the eye of any storm, or in the heaviest rain during a full moon. Maleficum (Witch Doctor) - spirit of the health, Shaman spirit. Can be found underground under any human hospital. Tenebris (Darkness) - Spirit of darkness and death. Controls all human lifespans. Seeks to destroy the human race and the other Great Spirits. Can be found only in the underworld, often referred to as Hell, the afterlife, etc. [u]Main Characters[/u] Jax - Grey Wolf with the mark of the Great Spirits. He holds many secrets and magical abilities that he has yet to discover. Oscar - Wise, old, blind cat, who has contact with the Great Spirits. He was chosen as the guide, translator, informer, and any other uses by the Great Spirits to lead Jax to his destiny. Vira - the red fox who is to accompany him on his journey.
