My cake was heavily influenced by the CS homepage, the greens and flora eagerly coming through in my three tier cake. However, what was my own personal flare was the colossal squid on top, as I constantly see it as Tess’s avatar. I often think of the colossal squid as the “Almighty Giver.” Each month it reaches down from the heavens to grace us with another new litter of puppies, kittens, rats and foals. A rather odd notion, but that’s always what I think<3 I have several different flowers on my cake, sadly I was unable to find half of the supplies I would have needed to make them out of something edible; unfortunately the earthquake that happened in my city has wiped out most of the baking stores. It was hard to even find a supermarket that was open. I have also made an origami Avian and Totoro, once again because I could not find the right ingredients to make them out of something edible, so I had to get creative. x3 Once again, these two characters were inspired by the CS Theme, having constantly seen these two at the top of my screen when browsing my favourite site. I did manage to use some left over royal icing to make some adorable apples and of course, the colossal squid<3 The midera cake was made entirely by me. :I And I forgot to add my username to the in process pictures. D: I can happily re-take pictures of where I made the cake to show the exact same area to show that i did make it in real time. xD
