personality

Supportive ~ Nemo is a bright, sweet girl. She cares a lot about other people, and has been known to "adopt" shy underclassmen and help them become comfortable both in their own skin and in their environment. In fact, underclassmen seem to be drawn to her as a source of comfort. She's that person that everyone comes to if they need to rant or want to talk about what's going on in their lives, and Nemo is always happy to listen and offer advice if she can. However, despite her tendency to support and encourage everyone around her, Nemo doesn't let others support her. This is due to the fact that she doesn't trust others to keep her secrets, and also because she doesn't want to be a burden. Recently, she has realized that this dynamic of supporting others without having a support system of her own is very draining, but she isn't sure what to do about it.

Creative ~ On a different note, Nemo is very creative. She loves to draw, paint, sew, anything remotely crafty is bound to get her attention. She also loves music, and plays several musical instruments - flute, trumpet, piano, and guitar. She hopes to learn saxophone next.

Analytical ~ Nemo is a detail-oriented person. Give her a task or a project, and she will break it down into all the little pieces that need to be completed. She's the person you would call on to read your papers and grammar check, and also the person you would ask to look over the decorations in your room to make sure all the photos are perfectly aligned

Nemo grew up as the oldest of five. However, three of the four other kids (Sam, Alex, and Benny) are actually her cousins, which her family adopted when Nemo's aunt Allison (a single mom) was diagnosed with cancer and given two years to live. Jane is Nemo's 'actual' sister, and is deaf. As the oldest, Nemo was expected to be responsible, and though she loves her siblings she does harbor a bit of bitterness over the fact that she is always has to be perfect/a good role model.

Her powers manifested when she was around nine years old. It took her and her parents by surprise, and was a source of tension in her family for a short time while they tried to figure out where the shapeshifting gene came from. Since Nemo hadn't been involved in any kind of extraordinary events that would give someone powers, they figured it must be genetic somehow. The answer remains a mystery.

The Snap hit her family like it hit every other. Her father and three of her siblings were taken by it, leaving an empty space and a lot of tears. The family of seven was reduced to three. Nemo's mother struggled to support her two kids, especially in a world where economies had crumbled and no one knew what to do. When Black Widow found them, Lilia insisted that Nemo go with her to the Safe House.

Josué Torres
Josué is very easy going, friendly teen. Originally from Costa Rica, his family (himself, his parents, and his little sister) moved to Rhode Island 9 years ago, when he was 10 years old. Technically, Josué is blind; only his family knows that instead of seeing the way most people do, Josué sees infrared light. This means he sees the world through shades of blue and orange based on temperature. While cool, it does make navigating the world tricky at times, so he has a guide dog, a sweet pitbull fittingly named Guía.

Josué is a generally relaxed, cheerful guy. His friends joke that the sunglasses he wears must be rose-tinted, because Josué always seems to see the best in everything and everyone. He's always down to try new things, and can be a bit of a daredevil at times. One of his favorite things to do is pull off stunts a blind person wouldn't be expected to be able to do. Of course, some might say he's cheating since he isn't truly blind, but it's all just harmless fun. One of his flaws is that he gets lonely quickly, and despite his general cheerful attitude he tends to get sad real fast when he is alone for too long. He also is the sort that tries to fix people's problems, and he has a hard time just listening without offering solutions.

In connection with his infrared vision, Josué has the ability to manipulate the temperature around him. He can cool a room just by being in it, or heat his coffee just by holding the cup. This is pretty convenient when the power goes out and he can be the heat source for his house, or when his sister's ice cream cone is melting faster than she cam eat it. The catch is that he has to be in contact with something in order to manipulate its temperature.

Adaline Bell

Personality: Adaline is the life of the party and brightens (pun intended) any room she's in. She loves to make jokes, but can be empathetic and compassionate. She's an extrovert and tends to only see the good in people, and can be blinded by this. She's competitive, but also enjoys working in a team.

History/Bio: Due to her amnesia she has no knowledge of her past, parents, where she came from, or her own name. She gave herself the name Adaline Bell. So for the past two years, Adaline has been scouring the Earth for information about her past, but has come up with little to none. That's how she met Natasha. She hopes that in the safe house she may finally find some answers.
