So, my dad got this job offer in a state, 8 hours from my home! It's for 5 years, so .... He's pretty much set on taking it..... it's a higher salary and we won't have to pay for alot of stuff.... I just want to prepare myself for the move.... So can you guys tell me the ups and downs???

Ups: Summer Vacation is coming up fast, and you would get to go see them! You will be getting more money, soo... you could travel more to see them! And you would get to go SHOPPEN! >:D
Downs: Moving is hard, I know what you feel like. But I would have had to go to a sucky school is I didn't move, and I wouldn't have the friends I have now, so maybe this will help you, like it helped me. That was in first grade, but I miss all my friends. Which leads me to an up*where was I going with a down???) You will get to see your friends again, and you have to have SOME way of communticating with them... I was in the first grade when I moved...
You will be fine, 5 years will fly by. If you need someone to talk to, you can talk to, like, anyone who posts on this thread... I am jabbering... hehe. (Ps, did I meantion I am now 17?? I moved when I was 6 and, where I live, people who are new are very popular 0.o If your a guy... but... I am in highschool. In Elementary or Middleschool, and I am inagining you are a middle schooler, your old life stays with you. Your... "ranking" at your old school will most likely be the same at your new one. )

Who gives a wirly poop about what music you listen to? My best friend listens to gospel and christian music, which some I like, some is downright weird/LAME but I love her for her! There will be others like you. :)

Easy. if he truely loves you, he will work through it until you come home. though... it depends on how your dad reacts on you having a bf. my mom said I cant have one till college, but pssht I am like an inch away from asking a guy out. hehe. calling is an easier way too. you can get ur point across more...
