Firvana the Seer of Ushara

Postby Sabatea » Thu Jan 05, 2012 2:53 pm

Pronounced 'Fear-vauna' and 'Oo-shara'
Another character for my story ^-^ A Seer or Healer :D

The job of a Seer is to heal any who come to their home (in Firvana's case this is Ushara) and they do so with the herbs they take from the Earth. A Seer will normally have more earth-colored tones, mostly browns and tans and such, as they are more accustomed to living only off of the Earth and its resources. Seer's often don't eat meat, normally prefering to eat the plants they are taught by the Seer before them, as the Seer before them taught them and so on. As a Seer they are taught what almost every plant, and even some insects, in their land can do to help wounds or illnesses. From the smallest ant to the bark of an oak to the branch of the willow and the leaf of the thistle a Seer can tell you what ailment each can treat and the name of any herb, tree, and plant that they had ever been taught. A Seer is often known to have oddly colored eyes, such as purple, red, and even some grays at times.

Ushara, or the Temple of the Seer, is where most of the Seers of the land took residence at. Built upon a hill that overlooks a large grove surrounded by ancient trees that have stood for as long as any Seer can trace back their ancestory. The Temple was built long ago by the first Seers, so that they could be easily reached by any wolf who need their service, however, the only way to find the Temple is hidden by the large trees that surround it, making t hard to stumble upon. Because of ths hardship the Seers created a riddle that would help any wolf who needed their assistance. "Upon four hills you shall travel, the first bearing arms of claws, the second showering sorrow from the heavens, the third bringing the message of tranquility, and the fourth leading the way. In the ancestors you shall wait, for they always see you." Though the Seer will also leave on their own and search for any wolves who may be looking for them or have become lost in their ways as they try to unearth the riddle.
